Focus PLANET² 5.9

The "PLANET² 5.9" model from Focus, launched in 2020, is a versatile e-bike characterised by its robust construction and high-quality features. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium with internal cable routing, which not only gives it an attractive appearance but also protects the cables from external influences. With a total weight of 24 kg, the bike offers a solid and stable ride.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, which operate reliably even in wet conditions. The SR Suntour NEX E25 fork, featuring a lockout mechanism and 63 mm of travel, helps absorb bumps and provides additional comfort on a variety of surfaces. Lighting is provided by the Herrmans H-Black MR8 LED front light and the Herrmans H-Trace Micro rear light, ensuring good visibility in low-light conditions.

The bike is fitted with City Comfort pedals, which ensure a comfortable riding experience in the city. Power is transmitted via a Shimano CN-HG53 chainset combined with an FSA CK-310 crankset and a Shimano HG400 cassette, ensuring reliable and efficient power transfer. The handlebars are aluminium riser bars with a 15-degree back sweep and a width of 690 mm, complemented by Ergon GP10 grips for added comfort.

The aluminium stem measures 31.8 mm in diameter, is 60 mm long and has a 17-degree angle, contributing to a comfortable riding position. The Rodi Airline Corsa rims are fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus tyres in size 47-622, which provide good traction and puncture resistance. The hubs are Shimano Acera models with quick-release mechanisms, allowing for easy wheel changes.

The wheelset is 28 inches in size, ensuring a smooth and stable ride. The touring saddle and the aluminium seatpost, with a diameter of 27.2 mm, offer additional comfort on longer rides. Tubus Wingee mudguards protect against splashes and dirt.

The PLANET² 5.9 is powered by a Bosch Performance Gen3 motor with 65 Nm of torque and 250 W of power, which provides maximum assistance. The battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and 17.3 Ah, ensuring a considerable range. The Bosch Purion display offers simple and intuitive control of the e-bike system.
