Focus JAM² SL 9.0

The 2023 Focus JAM² SL 9.0 is a high-quality e-mountain bike that impresses with its advanced technology and top-class specifications. The frame is made from Max Carbon and features F.O.L.D. GEN3 kinematics with 150 mm of travel. This design ensures an optimal balance of stiffness and comfort, whilst the internal cable routing and the Post Mount 180 mm bracket ensure a clean look and reliable braking performance. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 135 kg, making it robust and versatile.

The braking system comprises high-quality SRAM G2 Ultimate brakes with matching brake levers, complemented by a 200 mm front brake disc and a 180 mm rear brake disc. The drivetrain is equipped with SRAM XO1 Eagle AXS 12-speed technology, which enables precise and effortless gear changes. The corresponding shifter is the SRAM AXS Rocker.

Suspension is provided by the FOX 36 Float Factory 29 fork with 160 mm of travel and the FOX Float DPS Factory shock with 150 mm of travel. These components offer excellent control and comfort on challenging trails. The pedals are typical MTB pedals and fitted with reflectors.

The drivetrain is assisted by the powerful Fazua Ride 60 motor, delivering 60 Nm of torque and a maximum power output of 450 W. The integrated Li-ion battery has a capacity of 420 Wh, providing sufficient power for extended rides. Control is via the Fazua LED Hub + Ring Control Display.

Other features include the RaceFace Next R carbon handlebars, 800 mm wide with a 25 mm rise, and the FOCUS C.I.S. integrated aluminium stem, 50 mm in length. The Maxxis Dissector tyres in size 2.4 Exo ensure optimum grip, whilst the Mavic Crossmax X LR 29 carbon spokes ensure low weight and high stability.

The saddle is the fi’zi:k Taiga model, fitted to a Post Moderne dropper post with a diameter of 31.6 mm, which allows for flexible adjustment of the seat height. The bike’s geometry is carefully engineered, with a reach of 430 mm, a stack of 614 mm, a head tube angle of 65 degrees and a seat tube angle of 76 degrees, offering a balanced and comfortable riding position.
