Focus JAM 6.9

The 2021 Focus JAM 6.9 model is a high-performance mountain bike fitted with a wide range of high-quality components. The frame is made from 7005 hydroformed aluminium and, with its 150 mm F.O.L.D. Gen2 kinematics and a 148x12 mm thru-axle system, provides a solid and stable foundation for demanding rides. The bike has a maximum load capacity of 110 kg and weighs 16 kg itself, making it suitable for a wide range of uses.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano XT M8120 four-piston disc brakes, fitted with a 200 mm rotor at the front and an 180 mm rotor at the rear. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Deore XT M8100 12-speed system, which enables precise and reliable shifting. The drivetrain is complemented by the Shimano CN-LG50, whilst the crankset is also from the Shimano Deore XT series, ensuring seamless integration of the drivetrain components.

Suspension is provided by the FOX 36 Float Performance fork with 150 mm of travel and the FOX Float DPS Performance shock, also with 150 mm of travel. These components offer excellent control and damping on uneven terrain. The handlebars are aluminium RaceFace Chester 35, with a width of 780 mm and a rise of 35 mm, ensuring comfortable and controlled steering. The stem is an integrated FOCUS C.I.S. with a length of 50 mm.

The wheelsets consist of RODI TRYP30 rims fitted with Maxxis Minion DHF tyres in size 2.5 WT. This combination ensures optimum grip and stability on a wide variety of surfaces. The hubs are by Novatec – the D041 model at the front and the D462SB model at the rear – which are renowned for their reliability.

Other features include a Post Moderne dropper post for quick seat height adjustments and a fi’zi:k Taiga saddle for comfort over long distances. The bike’s geometry is designed for agility and control, with a head tube angle of 65 degrees and a seat tube angle of 76 degrees. The wheelbase measures 1166 mm, which contributes to balanced handling.
