FALTER E COMPACT 1.5 RT

The E COMPACT 1.5 RT from FALTER, launched in 2024, is a compact and powerful e-bike designed for urban use. Priced at 3,299 EUR, it offers a balanced combination of functionality and comfort. The Wave frame ensures easy mounting and contributes to a maximum permissible weight of 140 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 23 kg.

The Shimano AMT200 hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear guarantee reliable braking performance in a variety of weather conditions. The aluminium brake levers are 4-finger models, allowing for precise control. The front brake discs measure 160 mm and feature a Centre Lock design, whilst the rear discs measure 160 mm with a 5-bolt mounting.

For gear changes, the E COMPACT 1.5 RT is fitted with a Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gear system, operated via the Shimano Nexus SL-C6000-8 gear lever. This offers sufficient gear options for urban cycling. The aluminium fork contributes to the bike’s stability and durability.

The lighting comprises the Herrmans MR GO LED front light (30 lux) and the Herrmans H-Cargo LED rear light, which ensure good visibility in traffic. The foldable Marwi SP-153 pedals are a practical feature for storage in confined spaces.

The drive is powered by the Bosch Active Line Plus mid-drive motor with 250 W and 50 Nm of torque, whilst the Bosch PowerPack battery, with a capacity of 400 Wh, is semi-integrated. The Bosch Intuvia display offers a user-friendly interface for controlling the e-bike system. The charger is a Bosch Compact Charger with 2A.

The By Schulz Urban handlebars, with a width of 640 mm, a bend of 23 degrees and a rise of 0 degrees, are ergonomically designed to promote a comfortable riding position. The MATRIX VLG-1777D2 ergonomic grips also contribute to comfort. The stem is a bySchulz Speedlifter Twist T15 with Stem SDS, which has a length of 80 mm.

The wheels consist of hollow-section aluminium rims with stainless steel eyelets, fitted with Schwalbe Super Moto-X Reflex tyres in size 62-406, which ensure good road holding. The front hub is a Shimano HB-TX505 and the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 8-speed internal gear hub with a coaster brake.

The Selle Royal Orbis saddle and the MATRIX aluminium seatpost offer additional comfort on longer rides. Mudguards made from plastic profiles and a chain guard ensure that the rider stays clean even in bad weather. The Ursus Wave rear stand and the Massload aluminium luggage rack with MIK system and spring-loaded flap round off the specification by offering practical solutions for everyday use.
