FALTER E COMPACT 1.5 RT

The 2021 FALTER E COMPACT 1.5 RT is a versatile and compact e-bike that stands out for its high-quality features and well-thought-out design. The model’s aluminium frame is made from 6061 aluminium, which not only gives the bike stability but also reduces its weight to 23 kg. The maximum rider weight is 140 kg, making it suitable for a wide range of riders and uses.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano AMT200 hydraulic disc brakes with aluminium 4-finger brake levers. The front brake discs measure 160 mm with Centre Lock, whilst the rear discs are also 160 mm but with a 5-bolt mounting. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gear with a coaster brake, operated via the Shimano Nexus SL-C6000-8 gear lever.

The e-bike is fitted with an aluminium fork and features a Herrmans MR GO LED front light with a brightness of 30 LUX, as well as a Herrmans H-Cargo LED rear light. The foldable Marwi SP-153 pedals offer additional convenience when transporting or storing the bike. The crankset is from Bosch (Gen3) and has 44 teeth with a length of 165 mm, whilst the chainring has 18 teeth.

Power is transmitted via a robust KMC Z1eHX chain. The MATRIX Crescent handlebars have a diameter of 31.8 mm, a width of 600 mm, a bend of 27 degrees and no rise. MATRIX VLG-1777D2 ergonomic grips ensure a comfortable grip. The stem is a bySchulz Speedlifter Twist T10, which, together with the semi-integrated MATRIX headset, ensures comfortable steering.

The hollow-section aluminium rims have 32 holes and stainless steel eyelets. The Schwalbe Super Moto-X tyres with reflective strips are size 62-406 and offer good grip and puncture resistance. The front hub is a Shimano HB-TX505 and the rear a Shimano Nexus with an 8-speed in-hub gear system and coaster brake. Black stainless steel spokes complete the wheelset.

The saddle is a MATRIX VL-6471 model, mounted on a MATRIX SP-228 aluminium seatpost measuring 33.9 mm x 350 mm. Mudguards made from moulded plastic, 68 mm wide, protect against dirt and water. The Horn Catena 17 chain guard, the Ursus King centre-mount kickstand and the Massload aluminium luggage rack with MIK system and spring-loaded flap enhance the bike’s suitability for everyday use.

The Bosch Active Line Plus mid-drive motor delivers 250 W of power and 50 Nm of torque, supported by a semi-integrated Bosch PowerPack battery with a capacity of 400 Wh. The Bosch Intuvia display allows for easy control and monitoring of the electric assistance.
