FALTER E 9.8 KS PLUS

The "E 9.8 KS PLUS" model from FALTER, released in 2021, is a high-quality e-bike which, at a price of 4,099 euros, is positioned in the premium segment. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium, which gives the bike a robust structure despite its total weight of 26 kg. It is designed for a maximum rider weight of up to 180 kg, making it a stable choice for a variety of rider needs.

The e-bike is fitted with a powerful Bosch Performance CX mid-drive motor, delivering 250 watts and 85 Nm of torque, supported by an integrated Bosch Powertube battery with a capacity of 625 Wh. The Bosch Kiox display provides the rider with all the necessary information at a glance.

Safety and control are ensured by Shimano’s hydraulic four-piston disc brakes, model BR-MT420, with BL-MT401 brake levers. The front brake disc has a diameter of 203 mm and the rear one 180 mm, both with Centre Lock mounting. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Deore XT RD-M781 10-speed rear derailleur, operated via the Deore SL-M4100 shifter.

The Suntour Mobie 25 AIR suspension fork, featuring remote lockout and 63 mm of travel, ensures a comfortable ride on a variety of surfaces. Lighting is provided by a Litemove front light with 110 lux and a Herrmans H-Cargo LED rear light, which ensure good visibility in the dark.

The e-bike features Ergotec M-Bar handlebars and a Swell XR stem, both designed to Level 6 standards, as well as Herrmans DD36 grips for a comfortable ride. The rims are made of aluminium with a hollow-chamber profile and stainless steel eyelets, whilst the Schwalbe Energizer Plus tyres in size 50-622 provide good grip.

Further features include reinforced VP-658 pedals, a MATRIX Delta crankset with 38 teeth, a Shimano HG-50 cassette with 11–36 teeth, and a KMC e10 Turbo drive. The seatpost is an Ergotec Skalar, Level 6, which, together with the reinforced Selle Royal Viaggio saddle, ensures comfort.

The e-bike is also fitted with SKS mudguards, a Herrmans B-Slyde chain guard, an Ursus King 2 rear stand and an Abus lock. The Massload aluminium luggage rack features the MIK system and a spring-loaded flap, making it ideal for carrying luggage. Overall, the FALTER E 9.8 KS PLUS offers a well-thought-out combination of performance, comfort and functionality.
