FALTER E 9.8

The ‘E 9.8’ model from FALTER, released in 2020, is an e-bike priced at 2,999 euros, placing it in the upper mid-range category. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium, which gives the bike a robust yet lightweight construction. With a total weight of 27 kg, it is well balanced for an e-bike in this category.

The bike is fitted with a Shimano AMT200 hydraulic disc brake, which, together with the Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers, provides reliable braking performance. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Nexus 8-speed gear system with freewheel, operated via the Shimano Nexus SL-C6000-8 gear lever. The Suntour NEX-E25-DS suspension fork with lockout function provides additional comfort on uneven terrain.

In terms of lighting, the E 9.8 is fitted with a Herrmans MR4 LED front light (35 LUX) and a Herrmans H-Cargo rear light, ensuring adequate visibility at night. The saddle is a Matrix E-Bike model VL-6309, mounted on a Matrix aluminium seatpost SP-DC1, which is 31.6 mm in diameter and 300 mm long. SKS A56R PET mudguards are fitted for additional protection against dirt and water. The Ursus King 2 rear stand ensures the bike stands securely.

The e-bike features an Atran Velo Tour 365 luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap and an integrated rear light, making it ideal for carrying loads. Power is provided by a Bosch Powertube motor with an integrated battery capacity of 500 Wh, controlled via a Bosch Intuvia display, which ensures user-friendly operation.
