FALTER E 9.0 RT 500

The "E 9.0 RT 500" model from FALTER, launched in 2024, is a versatile e-bike designed for both urban use and longer rides. Priced at 3,199 EUR, it offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and functionality. The Wave frame makes it easy to get on and off the bike, whilst the maximum load capacity of 150 kg and the kerb weight of 26 kg underline its robust construction.

The e-bike is fitted with Shimano AMT200 hydraulic disc brakes, which provide reliable braking power at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also from Shimano – the BL-MT200 model – and offer precise control. The brake discs measure 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear, ensuring effective braking performance.

The gear system consists of a Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gear, operated via the Shimano SL-C6000-8 gear lever. This combination allows for easy and reliable gear selection. The Suntour NEX-E25-DS suspension fork, with 63 mm of travel, provides additional comfort on uneven roads.

For lighting, the e-bike is fitted with a Herrmans MR GO LED front light and a Herrmans H-Cargo LED rear light, which ensure good visibility and safety on the road. The Marwi SP-823 pedals and the MATRIX Delta crankset with 38 teeth complete the drivetrain components.

The handlebars, also from MATRIX, are 630 mm wide and have a 30-degree bend, allowing for a comfortable riding position. The MATRIX VLG-1777D2 ergonomic grips offer additional comfort on longer rides. The stem is angle-adjustable and has a length of 90 mm.

The wheels consist of black hollow-section aluminium rims with 32 holes, fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus Reflex tyres in size 55-622, which ensure good traction and puncture resistance. The front hub is a Shimano HB-TX505 and the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 8-speed internal gear hub with a coaster brake.

The MATRIX E-Bike VL-6395 saddle offers comfort, whilst the seatpost is made of aluminium. Moulded plastic mudguards and a Horn Catena 18 chain guard provide protection against dirt and wet conditions. The Ursus King 2 KSA rear stand ensures stability when parking the bike.

The luggage rack is made of aluminium and features the MIK system with a spring-loaded flap, which makes it easier to carry luggage. The e-bike is powered by a Bosch Active Line Plus mid-drive motor with 250 W and a torque of 50 Nm. The semi-integrated Bosch PowerPack battery, with a capacity of 500 Wh, ensures sufficient range. The Bosch Intuvia display provides all the necessary information at a glance, whilst the Bosch Compact Charger (2A) is responsible for charging the battery.

With a reach of 423 mm, a stack height of 667 mm and a top tube length of 625 mm, the e-bike offers well-balanced geometry to suit a range of rider heights. The head tube angle is 69 degrees and the seat tube angle 67 degrees, contributing to a comfortable riding position. Further dimensions, such as the 65 mm bottom bracket drop and the 1188 mm wheelbase, complement the well-thought-out design of the FALTER E 9.0 RT 500.
