FALTER E 9.0 RT 400

The "E 9.0 RT 400" model from FALTER, released in 2024, is a versatile e-bike which, at a price of 2,999 euros, represents an attractive option for cyclists looking for a reliable and high-performance bike. The wave-shaped frame makes it easy to get on and off the bike and contributes to a maximum load capacity of 150 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 26 kg.

Fitted with a Bosch Active Line Plus mid-drive motor, which delivers 250 W of power and 50 Nm of torque, the e-bike provides efficient assistance to the rider. The semi-integrated Bosch PowerPack battery, with a capacity of 400 Wh, ensures a reasonable range, whilst the Bosch Intuvia display allows for easy operation and monitoring of the systems. A Bosch Compact Charger with 2A is provided for recharging.

The Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gear system offers reliable and low-maintenance gear-changing performance, controlled by the Shimano Nexus SL-C6000-8 gear lever. Shimano AMT200 hydraulic disc brakes are fitted at both the front and rear, with the front brake disc measuring 180 mm in diameter and the rear 160 mm.

Riding comfort is enhanced by the Suntour NEX-E25-DS suspension fork with 63 mm of travel, whilst the MATRIX handlebars, with a width of 630 mm and a 30-degree bend, promote an ergonomic riding position. The MATRIX VLG-1777D2 ergonomic grips also contribute to comfort on long rides.

Road safety is ensured by the Herrmans MR GO LED front light and the Herrmans H-Cargo LED rear light. The Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus tyres, with their reflective strips, offer additional protection and visibility. The hollow-section aluminium rims are robust and durable, complementing the high-quality Shimano hubs.

The e-bike is also equipped with useful features such as a Massload aluminium luggage rack with a MIK system spring-loaded flap, an Ursus King 2 KSA 40 mm rear stand and MATRIX plastic mudguards. The Horn Catena 18 chain guard protects the rider’s clothing from getting dirty.

With a top tube length of 595 mm, a wheelbase of 1155 mm and a bottom bracket height of 285 mm, the bike is well balanced for a stable ride. The bike’s geometry, including a head tube angle of 69 degrees and a seat tube angle of 66 degrees, is designed to ensure both comfort and control. The reach is 397 mm and the stack is 648 mm, contributing to an upright riding position.
