FALTER E 9.0

The 2020 FALTER E 9.0 is a versatile e-bike that stands out for its robust construction and well-thought-out features. Priced at 2,399 euros, it offers good value for money for anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable means of transport. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium, giving the bike a robust yet lightweight structure, with a total weight of 25 kg.

Braking performance is provided by the Shimano AMT200 hydraulic disc brake, which, in combination with the Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers, ensures reliable and controlled deceleration. The drivetrain is a Shimano Nexus 8-speed system with a freewheel, operated via the Shimano Nexus SL-C6000-8 shifter. This combination offers smooth and precise gear changes for a variety of riding conditions.

The Suntour NEX-E25-DS suspension fork ensures comfort on uneven terrain, whilst the lighting system – comprising the Herrmans MR GO LED front light and the Herrmans H-Trace rear light – ensures safety in the dark. The drivetrain is provided by the KMC Z1eHX chain, together with a Matrix aluminium crankset with 38 teeth and a 19-tooth sprocket from Shimano.

The bike is fitted with Matrix handlebars, which are 630 mm wide, have a 35-degree bend and a 25 mm rise, enabling a comfortable riding position. The grips are Matrix Ergogrips VLG-1777D2, which provide additional comfort. The stem, also from Matrix, is angle-adjustable and offers flexibility in handlebar positioning.

The wheels consist of aluminium hollow-section rims with 36 holes and stainless steel eyelets, fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus tyres in size 50-622, which are known for their good traction and puncture resistance. The front hub is a Shimano Tourney HB-TX505 and the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 8-speed, reinforced with black stainless steel spokes.

The saddle is the Matrix E-Bike VL-6395 model, mounted on a Matrix aluminium seatpost SP-C255 measuring 30.9 mm x 300 mm. Additional features such as SKS A56R PET mudguards and a Massload CL-KA100 rear stand round off the overall package. The Racktime luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap offers practical transport options.

The FALTER E 9.0 is powered by a Bosch motor, which is paired with the semi-integrated Bosch PowerPack battery with a capacity of 400 Wh. The Bosch Intuvia display allows for easy control and monitoring of the system.
