The “E 8.8 SUB FL Wave ocean blue, matt” model from FALTER, released in 2022, is a high-quality e-bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and attractive design. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium, giving the bike a robust yet lightweight structure. The price for this model is 4,499 EUR.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano AMT200 hydraulic disc brakes, combined with BL-MT200 brake levers. The front brake discs have a diameter of 180 mm and the rear ones 160 mm, both with Centre Lock mounting. The gear system is a Shimano Di2 5-speed in-hub gear system with a freewheel, which is characterised by its electronic precision. The gear lever is also a Shimano Di2 model.

Comfort is ensured by the Suntour Mobie 25 AIR suspension fork with 75 mm of travel, a lockout function and a 15 mm thru-axle. The lighting comprises a Herrmans MR8 LED front light with 180 lumens and a Herrmans H-Cargo LED rear light, ensuring good visibility.

The bike is fitted with Marwi SP-823 pedals and features a Shimano FC-E8000 crankset with 38 teeth and a length of 170 mm. The rims are made of aluminium, have a hollow-wall profile and are fitted with 32 holes and stainless steel eyelets. The front hub is a Shimano Acera HB-MT400 with a 15 mm thru-axle, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano Di2 5-speed in-hub gear system with a freehub. The spokes are made of black stainless steel. The saddle is a Selle Royal Orbis model and is supported by a Limotec Alpha 3 seatpost with 40 mm of travel and an 80 mm stroke.

The bike also features SKS A69R mudguards, a chain guard, an Ursus King 2 rear stand and an Abus 4750L lock, which is keyed alike with the battery lock. The luggage rack is made of aluminium and is fitted with the MIK system and a spring-loaded flap.

Power is provided by a Shimano EP8 mid-drive motor with an output of 250 W and a torque of 85 Nm. The battery is a Shimano BT-E8036 with a capacity of 630 Wh and is integrated into the frame. The e-bike’s display is the Shimano SC-E6100 model, which clearly shows all relevant information. This model offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and functionality, ideal for urban use as well as longer rides.
