FALTER E 8.2

The "E 8.2" model from FALTER, launched in 2020, is a versatile and well-equipped e-bike, available for €2,249. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium, giving the bike a robust and durable structure. Weighing 25 kg, it is relatively light for an e-bike in this class.

The braking system consists of Shimano AMT200 hydraulic disc brakes, controlled by Shimano BL-MT201 brake levers. This combination ensures reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The e-bike’s gear system is a Shimano Nexus 8-speed with a freewheel, operated via the Shimano Nexus SL-C6000-8 gear lever, which allows for easy and precise gear selection.

The Suntour NEX-E25-DS suspension fork provides additional comfort on uneven roads. Lighting is provided by the Herrmans MR GO LED front light and the Herrmans H-Cargo rear light, which ensure good visibility in traffic. The Marwi SP-822 pedals and the Matrix aluminium crankset, with 38 teeth and a length of 170 mm, are further key components of the drivetrain.

The drivetrain is complemented by the KMC Z1eHX chain, whilst the 19-tooth sprocket is from Shimano. The handlebars are Matrix 21, with a width of 630 mm, a bend of 35 degrees and a rise of 25 mm, ensuring a comfortable riding position. The grips are ergonomically designed and are from the Matrix VLG-1777D2 series.

The stem is a Matrix Ahead UP 3, which is angle-adjustable and can therefore be customised to suit the rider. The headset is a semi-integrated model with a 1 1/8-inch thread. The rims are made of aluminium with a hollow-chamber profile and feature 32 holes with stainless steel eyelets, whilst the tyres are Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus with reflective strips, supplied in size 50-622.

The front hub is a Shimano Tourney HB-TX505 and the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 8-speed with a freewheel, complemented by black stainless steel spokes. The saddle is a Matrix E-Bike model VL-6395, mounted on a Matrix aluminium seatpost SP-DC1 measuring 31.6 mm x 300 mm.

Additional features include SKS A56R PET mudguards, an Ursus King 2 rear stand and an Atran Velo Tour 365 luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap and integrated rear light. The motor is a Shimano BT-E8014 with a capacity of 418 Wh, semi-integrated into the frame, as is the battery. The display is the Shimano SC-E6100, which shows all key information clearly and concisely. This comprehensive range of features makes the FALTER E 8.2 a reliable companion for everyday use and longer tours.
