FALTER C 4.0

The “C 4.0” model from the “FALTER” brand, released in 2024, is a versatile and sturdy bicycle available for 899 euros. It features a trapezoidal frame and has a maximum load capacity of 130 kg, whilst the bicycle itself weighs 17 kg. The braking system consists of Tektro 855AL aluminium V-brakes at both the front and rear, complemented by Tektro CL330TS aluminium brake levers with 4-finger operation. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 7-speed, controlled via the Shimano Nexus SL-C3000-7 gear lever, which allows for reliable and easy gear selection.

The Suntour CR-7V suspension fork, with 50 mm of travel, offers additional comfort on uneven terrain. Lighting is provided by the Herrmans MR4 LED front light with 35 LUX and the Herrmans H-Trace Steady MATRIX LED rear light with parking light function, both powered by a 3-watt Shimano DH-C30003 hub dynamo. The Marwi SP-823 pedals and the MATRIX crankset with a 38-tooth aluminium chainring complete the drivetrain, whilst the KMC Z6 chain ensures power transfer.

The MATRIX HL TR-AL-2 handlebars, 630 mm wide, and the Herrmans DD36 grips offer comfortable handling. The MATRIX MQ-527 stem is angle-adjustable and has a length of 85 mm. The semi-integrated steering is controlled via the MATRIX VP MH-308E headset. The rims are made of aluminium with a hollow-chamber construction and the tyres are Continental Ride City Reflex in size 47-622, ensuring stable road holding.

The front hub features a Shimano hub dynamo, whilst the rear hub is fitted with a Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub gear system with a coaster brake. The saddle is a Selle Royal Freeway model, mounted on a Post Moderne Glide suspension seatpost. Additional features such as SKS A56 mudguards, a Hebie chain guard for 38 teeth and an aluminium centre-mount kickstand enhance the bike’s practicality. The Atran Velo Tour 365 BS luggage rack, with a spring-loaded flap and integrated rear light, also provides transport options.

The bike’s geometry includes measurements such as a reach of 390 mm, a stack of 694 mm, a top tube length of 605 mm, and head tube and seat tube angles of 71 and 72 degrees respectively. The bottom bracket drop is 75 mm, the fork offset is 43 mm and the standover height is 430 mm. With a fork installation height of 460 mm, a crank length of 170 mm, a wheelbase of 1108 mm and a bottom bracket height of 283 mm, the FALTER C 4.0 offers a balanced blend of comfort and riding stability.
