Excelsior Vintage E CB

The "Vintage E CB" model from Excelsior, released in 2022, is a stylish e-bike that, at a price of 2,549 EUR, is positioned in the mid-range price segment. It stands out thanks to its combination of classic design and modern technology. The model is fitted with MAGURA “HS11” brakes and brake levers, which ensure reliable braking power. The gear system is based on the SHIMANO “Nexus”, a 7-speed hub gear system that ensures ease of use. The aluminium fork contributes to the bike’s lightness, whilst the CONTEC “Retro Classic E+” LED front light and the SPANNINGA “Pixeo” rear light ensure good visibility in the dark.

The bike is fitted with VP “658” pedals, and the bottom bracket is from BOSCH, which is a mark of quality and durability. The crankset has a length of 170 mm and is paired with a 19-tooth SHIMANO sprocket. Power is transmitted via a KMC “X1 EPT” chain. The ERGOTEC “Lady Town” handlebars are 620 mm wide and have a diameter of 31.8 mm, ensuring comfortable handling. The VELO “VLG-519” grips offer additional comfort, whilst the ERGOTEC “Octopus 2” stem is adjustable and also has a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The rims are made from painted aluminium with a hollow-chamber profile, which contributes to the bike’s stability. The SCHWALBE “Big Ben” tyres, size 50-622 with reflective strips, offer both grip and visibility. The front hub is a SHIMANO “HB-TX500” and the rear hub is a SHIMANO “Nexus” 7-speed RBN. Stainless steel spokes complete the robust wheel construction. The VELO “VL-6396” saddle and the ERGOTEC patented “Glide” aluminium seat post ensure a comfortable ride.

The bike is also fitted with painted aluminium mudguards and a chain guard, which protect against dirt and moisture. The adjustable URSUS “EASY” aluminium kickstand provides stability when parking the bike. An AXA “Solid Plus” lock ensures security, whilst the MASSLOAD “CL-648” aluminium luggage rack with MIK system makes it easy to carry luggage.

Power is provided by the BOSCH Gen.3 “Active Line PLUS” mid-drive motor, which operates at a voltage of 36 V and a power output of 250 W. The BOSCH “Powerpack 400” battery, featuring lithium-ion technology and a capacity of 400 Wh, ensures a sufficient range. The BOSCH “Purion” display offers four assistance levels as well as a push assist function and allows for easy operation of the e-bike. The Bosch charger, with a capacity of 2 Ah, rounds off the package and ensures efficient charging of the battery.
