Excelsior Vintage E

The "Vintage E" model from Excelsior, launched in 2022, is a stylish e-bike that combines a classic look with modern technology. Priced at 2,549 euros, it offers a solid range of features that make it suitable for both daily city commuting and leisurely rides. At the heart of the bike is the BOSCH Gen.3 “Active Line PLUS” mid-drive motor, with an output of 250 watts and a voltage of 36 volts. This is complemented by the BOSCH “Powerpack 400” battery, which provides a capacity of 400 Wh and is controlled via the BOSCH “Purion” display with four assistance levels and a push-assist function.

The “Vintage E” is fitted with MAGURA “HS-11” hydraulic rim brakes, which ensure reliable braking power. The SHIMANO “Nexus” gear lever offers seven gears, allowing for comfortable adaptation to various riding conditions. The aluminium fork and the painted aluminium hollow-section rims ensure a stable and durable construction.

For lighting, the bike is fitted with a CONTEC “Retro Classic E+” LED front light and a SPANNINGA “Pixeo” rear light, which ensure good visibility in the dark. The ERGOTEC “Lady Town” handlebars and the adjustable ERGOTEC “Octopus 2” stem provide a comfortable riding position, whilst the VELO “VL-6396” saddle and the ERGOTEC patented “Glide” seatpost provide additional comfort.

Further features include the KMC “E1 EPT” drivetrain, the SHIMANO 19-tooth sprocket, and the robust SCHWALBE “Big Ben” tyres in size 50-622 with reflective strips for enhanced safety. The bike features an URSUS “King 2” kickstand, an ABUS 4750 BOSCH FRAME lock for theft protection, and a MASSLOAD “CL-648” aluminium luggage rack with an integrated MIK system for easy attachment of bags and baskets.

The chain guard and mudguards are also made from painted aluminium, which not only gives the bike an attractive look but also protects it from the elements. Together with the VELO “VLG-519” grips and the VP-658 pedals, the Excelsior “Vintage E” offers a well-thought-out complete package for style-conscious cyclists.
