Excelsior Secret

The "Secret" model from Excelsior, released in 2022, is a well-equipped bike that represents excellent value for money at a price of EUR 749. It is fitted with high-quality components that offer both functionality and reliability. The braking system consists of SHIMANO ‘BR-MT200’ brakes with aluminium brake levers and a 160 mm front brake disc, ensuring effective and safe braking performance. The SHIMANO “Nexus” 7-speed shifter enables precise and easy gear changes, enhancing riding comfort.

The bike’s fork is made of aluminium, which helps to reduce weight whilst offering stability. For lighting, the model is fitted with a CONTEC “DLUX” front light, which provides 30 lux of brightness, as well as a CONTEC “TL-135” rear light with parking light function, both powered by a SHIMANO “DH-3D37” hub dynamo with Centre-Lock. This combination ensures good visibility and safety when cycling in the dark.

The bike features MARWI “SP-823” aluminium pedals and a BÜCHEL bottom bracket with a length of 120 mm. The crankset measures 170 mm and the SHIMANO sprocket has 19 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC anti-rust chain, which promises durability. The handlebars are also made of aluminium, with a diameter of 25.4 mm and a width of 610 mm, whilst the SELLE ROYAL “Soft Grip” grips ensure comfort. The adjustable stem has a diameter of 25.4 mm and a length of 180 mm.

The rims are made of painted aluminium and feature a hollow-chamber design, making them robust and durable. The CST “Allround” tyres, size 37-622 with reflective strips, offer good grip and visibility. The front hub is fitted with the SHIMANO “DH-3D37” hub dynamo and the rear hub with the SHIMANO “Nexus” 7-speed hub, both of which are built to last. The spokes are made of stainless steel (Niro), which contributes to the bike’s durability.

The SELLE ROYAL “Trek Rio Plus” saddle ensures a comfortable ride, whilst the aluminium seatpost, with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 300 mm, is a quick-release seatpost. The painted aluminium mudguards protect against splashes and dirt. A painted aluminium chain guard provides additional protection for clothing from the chain. The URSUS “Mooi” kickstand is adjustable and also made of aluminium, ensuring stability when parked. The STANDWELL luggage rack, made from painted aluminium, rounds off the specification and offers practical transport options. Overall, the Excelsior Secret model offers a balanced combination of quality, comfort and functionality.
