Excelsior Glorious Lady

The “Glorious Lady” model from Excelsior, released in 2024, is a stylish and functional bicycle that is ideal for everyday city cycling. Priced at 539 euros, this bicycle offers a balanced combination of classic design and modern features. The frame is made of sturdy steel and has a height of 55 cm, ensuring a comfortable riding position. The bicycle’s maximum load capacity is 120 kg, whilst it weighs 17 kg itself.

The “Glorious Lady” is fitted with PROMAX “TX123” V-brakes at both the front and rear, operated via PROMAX “BL82” brake levers. These ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The bicycle is fitted with a 3-speed SHIMANO “Nexus” hub gear system, operated via a SHIMANO “Nexus” gear lever, which allows for easy and smooth gear changes.

The unicrown fork contributes to stability and riding comfort. For lighting, the bike is fitted with a CONTEC “Retro Classic” LED front light and a BÜCHEL “FL12” rear light with a parking light function. The SHIMANO “DH-C3000-3N-NT” hub dynamo ensures a reliable power supply for the lights, regardless of battery performance.

The drivetrain consists of a KMC “REZ610RB” rust-resistant chain drive, an aluminium/steel crankset and a SHIMANO sprocket with 44 teeth at the front and 19 teeth at the rear. The “Stuttgart” handlebars, 600 mm wide, and the leather-look grips from SELLE ROYAL offer comfort and control. The stem is made from polished aluminium and has a diameter of 22.2 mm and a length of 180 mm.

The hollow-section aluminium rims are fitted with SCHWALBE “Road Cruiser” tyres in size 42-622, which are renowned for their durability and good grip. The hubs are also from SHIMANO: a dynamo hub at the front and a “Nexus” 3-speed RBN hub at the rear. The SELLE ROYAL “8965” saddle provides extra comfort on longer rides.

Other practical features include painted steel mudguards from BÜCHEL, a painted chain guard, an URSUS “Elegance” aluminium kickstand and a polished steel luggage rack.
