The “5NF Wave” model from the “e-bike manufaktur” brand, released in 2021, is a high-quality e-bike which, at a price of 3,899 EUR, is positioned in the upper mid-range. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and is fitted with a Bosch interface, which enables seamless integration of the motor. The bike’s total weight is 27 kg, which is quite typical for an e-bike with this specification.

The 5NF Wave’s braking system relies on the reliability of Shimano Deore BR-MT410 brakes, fitted with 180 mm discs at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also from Shimano – model BL-MT401 – which ensure precise and controlled braking performance. Gear changes are managed via a Shimano Nexus 5-speed freehub system, controlled by a twist-grip shifter, which allows for simple and intuitive operation.

Riding comfort is ensured by the Suntour Mobie25 Coil fork with 100 mm of travel and a lockout function, which effectively absorbs shocks. The lighting comprises a Busch & Müller IQ-XS-E front light with 70 LUX and a Herrmans H-Trace rear light, both with a parking light function, ensuring safety when cycling at night.

The bike is fitted with a Gates CDX drive belt, which, together with the Gates CDX pulley, ensures a quiet and low-maintenance drivetrain. The handlebars are Humpert Ergotec City Cruiser with a width of 635 mm, complemented by Ergon GP1 grips with screw clamps for added comfort. The stem is a Humpert Ergotec Octopus 50, which is angle-adjustable to allow for individual adjustment of the riding position.

The wheels feature Schürmann YAK25 Disc aluminium hollow-section rims and are fitted with Schwalbe Super Moto-X tyres, which ensure good road holding. The front hub is a Shimano Deore HB-M6010 and the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 5-speed hub. The saddle is a Selle Royal Essenza model, mounted on a Humpert Ergotec Atar seatpost.

Additional features include SKS plastic mudguards, a Pletscher Comp Flex rear stand and a Racktime Stand-it luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap. At the heart of the drive system is the fourth-generation Bosch Performance Line CX mid-drive motor with 250 watts of power, supported by a fully integrated Bosch frame battery with a capacity of 625 Wh. The Intuvia display rounds off the system and provides a user-friendly interface for controlling the e-bike. Overall, the “5NF Wave” offers a well-balanced package of performance, comfort and functionality, making it suitable for both city commuting and longer rides.
