Diamant Ubari Deluxe (Einstieg: tief)

The "Ubari Deluxe (low step-through)" model from Diamant, released in 2023, is a well-designed and versatile bicycle that is particularly well-suited to everyday use. Priced at 799 EUR, it offers good value for money. The frame is made from Alpha Gold aluminium and is designed as a low-step model, allowing for easy mounting. The frame is also fitted with luggage rack and mudguard eyelets and is compatible with the DuoTrap S system. The IS disc brake mount and the 135 x 5 mm quick-release axle round off the functional design.

The bike has a maximum load capacity of 136 kg and weighs 16 kg itself. Safety is ensured by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear, each with a 160 mm Shimano RT10 Centre Lock disc mount. The gear system is controlled by the Shimano Altus M315 shifter with 3-speed front and 8-speed rear gears. The front derailleur is a Shimano Tourney TY710 with a clamp diameter of 34.9 mm, Top Swing and Dual Pull.

Riding comfort is ensured by the SR Suntour NEX fork with coil spring and adjustable spring preload, which offers 50 mm of travel. The lighting comprises a Spanninga Brio LED front light and a Spanninga Vivo LED rear light with a parking light function. The pedals are non-slip and fitted with reflectors, providing additional safety on the road.

The crankset is by Shimano and features 48/38/24 teeth, whilst the cassette is also by Shimano and has an 8-speed range of 12–32 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z8 chain. The handlebars are made of aluminium with a 25.4 mm clamp, have a 20 mm rise and a width of 630 mm. The ergonomic Herrmans Clik grips are fitted with clamps. The adjustable aluminium stem is 85 mm long.

The bike is fitted with Bontrager H2 tyres with reflective strips, mounted on Bontrager Connection hollow-wall rims. These rims have an internal width of 20 mm and are fitted with a Presta valve. A Shimano hub dynamo provides power for the lights. The saddle is a Selle Royal Nuvola model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost with adjustable spring preload.

Other features include SKS plastic mudguards, a Pletscher Comp 18 kickstand and an aluminium Racktime luggage rack with a bag bracket, spring-loaded flap and Snapit system, which can carry loads of up to 25 kg. The bike’s geometry is characterised by a reach of 38 mm, a stack of 64 mm, a seat tube length of 50 mm and a top tube length of 59 mm. The head tube angle is 70 degrees, the seat tube angle is 72 degrees, the head tube length is 17 mm, the chainstay length is 47 mm and the standover height is 68 mm. The bike’s wheelbase is 110 mm.
