Diamant Achat (Einstieg: tief)

The "Achat (low step-through)" model from Diamant, released in 2023, is a versatile and functional bike that is ideal for everyday use. Priced at 799 EUR, it offers good value for money. The frame is made from Alpha Smooth aluminium with internal cable routing and a post-mount disc brake mount, ensuring a clean look and easy maintenance. The maximum load capacity is 136 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 16 kg.

The brakes are Tektro TRB-02 rim brakes at the front and rear; they are made of aluminium and feature an adjustable reach to enhance comfort and safety. The gear lever is a Shimano Nexus Revo with 7 speeds, enabling smooth and reliable gear changes. The fork is an SR Suntour NEX with a coil spring and adjustable spring preload, as well as 50 mm of travel, which provides additional comfort.

For lighting, the bike is fitted with a Spanninga Brio LED front light and a Spanninga Vivo LED rear light with a parking light, ensuring good visibility on the road. The non-slip pedals with reflectors also contribute to safety. The crankset consists of a Prowheel PR-115 steel chainring with 38 teeth and a crank arm length of 170 mm.

The bike is fitted with Bontrager H2 tyres featuring reflective strips and a Bontrager Connection wheelset. The Shimano Nexus hub dynamo ensures a reliable power supply for the lights. The saddle is a Selle Royal Nuvola model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost with adjustable spring preload.

Additional features include SKS plastic mudguards, a Pletscher Comp Flex 18 kickstand and an aluminium Racktime luggage rack with bag brackets, a spring-loaded flap and the Snapit system, which has a maximum load capacity of 25 kg. The bike’s geometry is well thought out, with a head tube angle of 70 degrees and a seat tube angle of 74 degrees, which allows for a comfortable riding position. The bike’s dimensions are kept compact, making it a practical choice for urban use.
