Cube Travel EXC midnight´n´blue

The "Travel EXC midnight'n'blue" model from Cube, released in 2022, combines high-quality materials with well-thought-out features at a price of 1299 EUR. The frame is made from Superlite, Urban, double-butted aluminium, which ensures high stability whilst keeping the weight low. The aluminium rigid fork complements the lightweight frame and contributes to the bike’s overall stability.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT410 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm discs at both the front and rear, ensuring reliable and controlled braking power. The Shimano Alfine SL-S7000 gear lever enables precise gear changes via the 8-speed hub gear system, which is integrated into the Shimano Alfine SG-S700 rear hub.

Lighting is provided by the CUBE IQ-XS-Friendly N Plus front light and the ACID Mudguard Rear Light PRO-D, 6V, AC rear light, ensuring good visibility and safety in low-light conditions. The bike is fitted with VP 615M pedals, which ensure a secure grip. The crankset consists of a Gates S150 CDN with 46 teeth and a length of 170 mm, combined with the Gates CDX belt drive with 113 teeth and a Gates Rear Sprocket CDN with 22 teeth, providing a low-maintenance and durable drivetrain solution.

The handlebars, a CUBE Comfort Trail Bar with a width of 660 mm, and the Natural Fit Comfort grips ensure a comfortable ride. The stem is a CUBE Performance Stem Pro with a diameter of 31.8 mm. The VP 1 1/8" semi-integrated headset completes the steering components.

The CUBE EX21 rims are tubeless-ready and fitted with Schwalbe Marathon Mondial Kevlar tyres in size 37-622, ensuring high puncture resistance and good rolling performance. The front hub is a Shimano DH-3D37 hub dynamo with quick-release skewers and a Centre Lock brake disc mount, whilst the rear hub is the aforementioned Shimano Alfine SG-S700.

The Natural Fit Sequence+ saddle and the CUBE Performance Post seatpost, with a diameter of 27.2 mm, offer comfort even on longer rides. The saddle is secured using a CUBE Screwlock with a diameter of 31.8 mm.

Additional features include ACID 45 BB-Mount mudguards, an adjustable CUBEstand Pro kickstand and an ACID Semi-Integrated Carrier, which is compatible with the ACID RILink adapter. These components make the Travel EXC midnight’n’blue a versatile bike that’s ideal for everyday use.
