Cube Town RT Hybrid EXC 500 lunar´n´grey

The 2021 “Town RT Hybrid EXC 500 lunar’n’grey” model from Cube is a high-quality e-bike, priced at 2,749 EUR. The frame is made from Superlite aluminium and, thanks to its Comfort Ride Geometry, offers a comfortable riding experience. Weighing 26 kg, the bike is robust and stable, a feature further enhanced by the integrated Luggage Rack 2.0 and the double-butted construction.

The bike’s braking system consists of Magura HS11 hydraulic caliper brakes, which ensure reliable braking performance. The gear lever is a Shimano Nexus SL-C6000-8 Revoshift, which enables smooth and precise gear changes. The RockShox Paragon Gold Air fork, with 50mm of travel and a lockout function, contributes to a comfortable ride by effectively absorbing bumps in the road.

Lighting is provided by the Herrmans H-Black MR8 front light (6–12V, DC) and the Herrmans H-Trace rear light, which ensure good visibility in the dark. The ACID PP trekking pedals and the ACID E-Crank crankset, with a 40T chainring and a length of 165mm, are designed for durability and efficiency. The drivetrain is supported by a KMC Z610 chain with an EcoProTeQ coating.

The handlebars are CUBE Comfort Shape Bars, combined with RFR Comfort grips and a Satori Up2 Plus stem, which is height-adjustable. The headset is a semi-integrated CUBE FPH835D. The CUBE ZX27 rims, featuring 36 spokes and V-brakes, are fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Plus tyres (47-622), which are renowned for their performance and Green Guard puncture protection.

The front hub is a Shimano Deore HB-T610 with a quick-release mechanism, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus SG-C6001-8C with 8 speeds and a coaster brake. The Natural Fit Shen saddle and the CUBE Suspension seatpost (27.2mm) offer additional comfort on longer rides. The saddle is clamped using a CUBE Varioclose (31.8mm).

The bike is also fitted with ACID 53 mudguards, a CUBE Closed Chain Protection chain guard, a CUBEstand Cmpt kickstand and a CUBE Integrated Carrier 2.0 luggage rack, which is compatible with both CUBE adapters and SnapIt.

The model is powered by a Bosch Performance Generation 3 motor with 60Nm of torque and 250 watts of power. The Bosch PowerPack 500 battery provides the necessary energy, whilst the Bosch Intuvia display allows for easy control and monitoring of the system.
