Cube Touring Hybrid EXC 625 red´n´grey

The “Touring Hybrid EXC 625 red’n’grey” model from Cube, released in 2021, is a versatile e-bike designed for comfortable and efficient touring. The price for this model is 3049 EUR. The frame is made from Superlite aluminium and utilises Gravity Casting Technology and Efficient Comfort Geometry, ensuring a comfortable riding position. The frame also features a tapered head tube, a fully integrated battery and the Integrated Carrier 2.0, which allows for seamless integration of the luggage rack. The bike’s total weight is 27 kg.

The braking system consists of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes (BR-MT420/MT400) with 180 mm rotors at the front and rear, ensuring reliable braking performance. The gear system is a Shimano Deore RD-M6100-SGS ShadowPlus with 12 speeds, controlled by the Shimano Deore SL-M6100 Rapidfire-Plus shift lever. The SR Suntour XCR32 LO-R Air fork, with 100 mm of travel and a lockout function, ensures a comfortable ride even on uneven terrain.

For lighting, a Herrmans H-Black MR8 front light and a Herrmans H-Trace rear light are fitted, both of which ensure good visibility in road traffic. The pedals are ACID PP Trekking models. The crankset is an ACID E-Crank with 38 teeth (175 mm for standard frames, 170 mm for smaller frames). The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M6100 with a range of 10–51 teeth, and the drivetrain uses a Shimano CN-M6100 chain.

The handlebars are CUBE Comfort Trail Bars with a width of 700 mm; the grips are Natural Fit Comfort models. The stem is a Satori Up2 Plus with a diameter of 31.8 mm and adjustable height. The headset varies depending on frame size: for M and L it is the ACROS AZF-1039, and for smaller frames (EE) it is the ACROS AZX-1041 with BlockLock 135°.

The rims are CUBE EX23 Disc Tubeless Ready with 36 spokes, fitted with Schwalbe Energizer Plus tyres in size 55-622, which offer additional puncture protection thanks to their Green Guard technology. The front hub is a Shimano HB-M4050 with a quick-release skewer and CentreLock brake disc mount; the rear hub is a Shimano FH-MT401, also with a quick-release skewer and CentreLock.

The saddle is a Natural Fit Sequence Comfort model, mounted on a CUBE Suspension Seatpost HD with a diameter of 30.9 mm. The saddle is clamped using a CUBE Varioclose clamp with a diameter of 34.9 mm. ACID 65 mudguards and a CUBEstand Cmpt kickstand are also fitted.

The luggage rack is a CUBE Integrated Carrier 2.0, which is compatible with both CUBE adapters and SnapIt. Power is provided by a Bosch Performance Line motor (Generation 3) with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 65 Nm, combined with a Bosch PowerTube 625 battery for long ranges. The display is a Bosch Intuvia, which clearly shows all the key information.
