Cube Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC SL 625 desert´n´orange

The “Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC SL 625 desert’n’orange” model from Cube, released in 2021, is a high-quality e-mountain bike priced at 4549 EUR. The frame is constructed using C:62 Monocoque Advanced Twin Mold Technology with a 6061 T6 aluminium rear triangle. Thanks to Efficient Trail Control, FSP 4-Link and Agile Trail Geometry, as well as Boost 148 and the fully integrated battery, the bike offers a stable yet agile ride. The bike’s total weight is 24 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano XT BR-M8120/M8100 hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm discs at the front and rear. The drivetrain is a Shimano XT RD-M8100-SGS, ShadowPlus, 12-speed system, operated via the Shimano Deore SL-M6100-I shifter with Direct Attach and Rapidfire Plus technology. The suspension fork is a Fox 34 Rhythm with a 2-position Sweep-Adjust GRIP damper, tapered steerer tube, 15x110 mm axle, specially optimised for e-bikes and featuring 140 mm of travel. The rear shock is a Fox Float DPS EVOL with Open, Medium and Firm modes, and a trunnion mount.

The crankset consists of an ACID E-Crank with a length of 165 mm (27.5: 36T // 29: 34T) and the cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M6100 with 10-51T. The drivetrain is powered by the Shimano CN-M6100 chain. The handlebars are Newmen Evolution SL 318.25 with a width of 760 mm, complemented by CUBE Race Grip 31 mm grips with a 1-clamp attachment. The stem is a CUBE Performance Stem E-MTB with a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The headset varies depending on frame size: for size 27.5, it is an ACROS AZX-1032 with BlockLock 120°, Top Zero-Stack 1 1/2" (ZS 56 mm), Bottom Zero-Stack 1 1/2" (ZS 56 mm); for the 29 size, it is an ACROS AZX-1030 with a Top Zero-Stack of 1 1/2" (ZS 56 mm) and a Bottom Zero-Stack of 1 1/2" (ZS 56 mm). The rims are CUBE EX30, Tubeless Ready and have 32 spokes. The tyres are Schwalbe Hans Dampf, Addix Soft at the front and Addix Speedgrip at the rear, both in the Super Trail Tubeless Easy size, 2.60.

The front hub is a Shimano HB-MT400-B, 15 mm Boost Centre Lock, and the rear hub is a Shimano FH-MT410-B, 12 mm Boost Centre Lock. The saddle is a Natural Fit Venec, mounted on a CUBE dropper post with a handlebar lever and internal cable routing, diameter 31.6 mm (XS, S: 100 mm, M: 125 mm, L, XL: 150 mm). The saddle is clamped using a CUBE Screwlock Semi-Integrated seatpost with a diameter of 34.9 mm.

The e-bike is powered by the Bosch Drive Unit Performance CX Generation 4 (85Nm) Cruise (250Watt) motor, powered by a Bosch PowerTube 625 battery. The display is a Bosch Kiox, which clearly shows all the important information.
