Cube Reaction Hybrid Pro 500 Allroad desert´n´orange

The “Reaction Hybrid Pro 500 Allroad desert’n’orange” model from Cube, released in 2022, boasts a wide range of high-quality technical features and is priced at 2,849 EUR. The frame is made from Superlite aluminium and, thanks to Gravity Casting and Agile Ride Geometry, offers an optimal balance between stability and riding comfort. The internal cable routing and fully integrated battery ensure a clean, uncluttered appearance. The frame also features mounting points for a kickstand, mudguards and a luggage rack.

For the brakes, Cube has opted for Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm discs at the front and rear, which ensure reliable braking performance. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano Deore RD-M5100-SGS 11-speed system, operated by the Shimano Deore SL-M5100 Rapidfire-Plus shift levers. The X-Fusion MIG32 Air fork, featuring a tapered head tube, 15x110mm thru-axle, 100mm travel and a lockout function, ensures a comfortable ride even on uneven terrain.

The bike is fitted with a CUBE Shiny 50 Lux front light and an ACID Mudguard Rear Light PRO-E rear light, both of which are powered by 12V DC. The CUBE PP MTB pedals offer good grip and control. Power is transmitted via an ACID E-Crank, 175mm long with 38 teeth, along with a KMC X11 chain and a Shimano Deore CS-M5100 cassette with 11–51 teeth.

Optimal comfort and control are ensured by the 720mm-wide CUBE Rise Trail Bar handlebars, ACID React Pro grips and the 31.8mm-diameter CUBE Performance Stem E-MTB stem. The headset varies depending on wheel size: the ACROS AZX-1032 BlockLock 120° is used for 27.5-inch wheels, whilst the ACROS AZX-1030 is used for 29-inch wheels.

The CUBE EX30 rims are tubeless-ready and fitted with Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres in size 2.35. The front hub is a Shimano HB-MT400-B with a 15mm thru-axle and Boost standard, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano FH-TX505 with a quick-release skewer and CentreLock brake disc mount.

The Natural Fit Sequence saddle sits on a CUBE Performance seatpost with a 30.9mm diameter, secured by a CUBE Varioclose seatpost clamp with a 34.9mm diameter. ACID 75 BB-Mount mudguards are fitted to protect against dirt, and a CUBEstand Cmpt kickstand ensures the bike stands securely. The ACID Rail SIC luggage rack offers additional carrying options.

The bike is powered by a Bosch Drive Unit Performance CX Generation 4 motor with 85Nm of torque and an output of 250 watts. The Bosch PowerTube 500 battery provides the necessary power, whilst the Bosch Purion display clearly shows all the important information. The battery is charged using a Bosch 2A charger.
