Cube Reaction Hybrid Performance 500 polarsilver´n´blue

The “Reaction Hybrid Performance 500 polarsilver’n’blue” model from Cube, released in 2022, is a versatile e-bike available at a price of 2,449 EUR. The frame is made from Superlite aluminium and utilises Gravity Casting technology, which gives the bike high stability and a low weight. Thanks to the Agile Ride Geometry and the tapered head tube, the bike offers balanced riding dynamics. The internal cable routing and fully integrated battery ensure a clean, uncluttered appearance. The frame also features mounting points for a kickstand, mudguards and a luggage rack.

The bike’s brakes are Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors, which ensure reliable braking performance. The drivetrain is a Shimano RD-M3100-SGS 9-speed system, operated via the Shimano SL-M3100-R Rapidfire Plus shifter. The SR Suntour NVX30 coil fork, with 100 mm of travel, offers additional comfort and control on uneven terrain.

The bike is fitted with CUBE PP MTB pedals and features an ACID E-Crank crankset with a length of 175 mm and a 38-tooth chainring. The Shimano CS-HG201 sprocket has a 11–36-tooth range, and the chain is a KMC X9. The handlebars are a 720 mm wide CUBE Rise Trail Bar, combined with CUBE Race Grip 31 mm grips and a CUBE Performance Stem Pro stem with a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The headset varies depending on wheel size: for 27.5-inch wheels, it is the ACROS AZX-1041 BlockLock 135° headset; for 29-inch wheels, it is the ACROS AZF-1039. Both versions offer stable and precise steering. The rims are Rodi Blackrock 23 with 32 spokes, which are tubeless-ready. The Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres in size 2.35 offer good grip and puncture protection.

The front and rear hubs are Shimano HB-TX505 and FH-TX505 respectively, featuring quick-release mechanisms and CentreLock brake disc mounts. The saddle is a Natural Fit Sequence, mounted on a CUBE Performance Post seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm and a CUBE Varioclose seatpost clamp with a diameter of 34.9 mm.

The bike is powered by a Bosch Drive Unit Performance Generation 3 motor with 65 Nm of torque and an output of 250 watts. The Bosch PowerTube 500 battery provides the necessary power, whilst the Bosch Purion display shows all the key information. The Bosch 2A charger ensures the battery is charged efficiently.
