Cube Aim Race silver´n´orange

The "Aim Race silver'n'orange" model from Cube, released in 2022, is a versatile mountain bike available for 649 EUR. The bike’s frame is made from Aluminium Lite and features AMF (Advanced Mechanical Forming) technology. It is double-butted, which reduces weight whilst increasing stability. The bike is fitted with internal cable routing, which ensures a tidy appearance, as well as a tapered head tube that provides additional stiffness. It also features flat-mount brake mounts, a SIC (Size Specific Chainstay) mount and an FM kickstand mount.

The Aim Race is fitted with Shimano BR-MT200/UR300 hydraulic disc brakes, with 160 mm rotors at the front and rear. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano RD-M360 8-speed rear derailleur and Shimano SL-M315 Rapidfire-Plus shift levers. The front derailleur is a Shimano FD-M315 Top Swing with a 31.8 mm clamp. The SR Suntour XCM Disc fork, with 100 mm of travel and a lockout function, ensures a comfortable ride over uneven terrain.

The bike is fitted with CUBE PP MTB pedals and uses a Shimano FC-M315 crankset with 36x22T chainrings and a length of 170 mm. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG31 with an 11–34T range, and the drivetrain is powered by a KMC Z8.3 chain. The handlebars are CUBE Rise Trail Bars, 680 mm wide, complemented by ACID React grips. The stem is a CUBE Performance Stem Pro with a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The headset is a CUBE FPH868, 1 1/8" at the top and 1 1/2" at the bottom, semi-integrated. The rims are CUBE ZX20 with 32 spokes and disc brake mounts. The tyres are Schwalbe Smart Sam Active in size 2.25, which offer good grip both on the road and off-road. The front hub is a Shimano HB-TX505 with a quick-release skewer and Centre Lock mount, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano FH-TX505 with the same specifications.

The Aim Race’s saddle is a Natural Fit Venec Lite, mounted on a CUBE Performance seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm. The saddle is clamped in place using a CUBE Varioclose clamp with a diameter of 31.8 mm.
