Conway RLC FS 7.9

Conway’s RLC FS 7.9 model from 2024 is a state-of-the-art mountain bike, positioned in the premium segment with a price tag of 4,699 EUR. The frame is made from CONWAY Fully Carbon and, thanks to its full-suspension technology, offers optimum suspension for challenging off-road riding. With a maximum load capacity of 130 kg and a kerb weight of just 11 kg, the bike is both robust and lightweight, contributing to improved handling and performance.

The RLC FS 7.9’s braking system comprises SRAM “Level TL” components, which provide reliable braking power at both the front and rear. The front brake disc measures 180 mm, whilst the rear disc is slightly smaller at 160 mm. The 12-speed SRAM “XX1” drivetrain enables precise and rapid gear changes, which, in combination with the SRAM “X1 Carbon” crankset featuring a 32-tooth chainring and a 170 mm length, ensures efficient power transfer.

The ROCKSHOX “SID SL Select +” fork offers 110 mm of travel, whilst the rear shock provides 100 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride over uneven terrain. The LEVEL 9 “Flat Bar” handlebars, with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 740 mm, combined with the SQlab “70X” grips, offer comfortable and secure handling. The stem, also from LEVEL 9, measures 60 mm in length and contributes to the stable steering geometry.

MAVIC rims and spokes are used for the wheels, whilst the SCHWALBE “Racing Ray” EVO Addix tyres in size 60-622 ensure excellent grip and control. The MAVIC “Crossmax SL S” hubs guarantee smooth rotation of the wheels, with the front hub measuring 15 x 110 mm and the rear hub 12 x 148 mm.

The CONWAY “1489 super light” saddle and the LEVEL 9 “Race” seatpost, with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 350 mm, offer comfort even on longer rides. The bike’s geometry is characterised by a stack of 586 mm, a seat tube length of 425 mm, a top tube length of 575 mm, a seat tube angle of 72 degrees, a head tube length of 95 mm, a chainstay length of 445 mm and a wheelbase of 1119 mm. These dimensions contribute to a balanced riding position and optimum power transfer.
