Conway eWME 6.9

The 2022 eWME 6.9 from Conway is a high-performance e-mountain bike that impresses with its high-quality components and well-thought-out design. Priced at 5,899 EUR, it offers a comprehensive range of features suitable for both challenging trails and longer rides.

The braking system consists of SHIMANO Deore XT BR-M8120 four-piston brakes and the matching Deore XT BL-M8100 brake levers, which ensure reliable and precise braking performance. The front brake discs are SHIMANO RT-MT800 with a diameter of 203 mm, complemented by the RT-EM800 disc with a magnet. The derailleur is a SHIMANO Deore XT RD-M8100 Shadow Plus with 12 speeds, controlled by the Deore XT SL-M8100 shifter, which enables smooth and precise gear changes.

Optimal suspension is provided by the FOX Performance 36 Float fork with 160 mm of travel, whilst the FOX Float X shock absorber ensures additional damping comfort. The drivetrain consists of the SHIMANO Deore XT FC-M8150 crankset with a length of 165 mm and the SHIMANO CS-M7100 cassette with a gear ratio of 10–51 teeth.

The handlebars are ERGOTEC Low Rizer with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 780 mm, paired with SQLAB 70X grips for optimum grip. The stem, also from ERGOTEC, is the Bass 45 model with a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a ZS44 / ZS56 with a Blocklock function.

The wheels are fitted with DT SWISS Spline H1900 rims, combined with SCHWALBE Magic Mary tyres in the ‘Soft’ version, size 60-622. The hubs are also DT SWISS Spline H1900, with dimensions of 15 x 110 mm at the front and 12 x 148 mm at the rear. The spokes are also from DT SWISS.

The saddle is the Aidon model from FIZIK, mounted on a CONTEC Drop-A-Gogo seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and an adjustment range of 170 mm.

The eWME 6.9 is powered by a SHIMANO EP800 mid-drive motor with a rated continuous power output of 250 W. The battery is a Darfon Intube 720 lithium-ion battery with a BMS and a capacity of 720 Wh. The SHIMANO SC-EM800 display offers a 3-level control system with remote control and push assist. A Darfon charger with a capacity of 4–5.6 Ah is provided for recharging.
