Conway Cairon T 5.0 Wave

The “Cairon T 5.0 Wave” model from Conway, launched in 2023, is a versatile e-bike that is ideal for both everyday use and longer rides. Priced at 4,299 EUR, it offers a balanced combination of performance and comfort. The frame is made of aluminium and features a Wave design with a size of 46 cm, allowing for easy mounting. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 28 kg.

In terms of propulsion, the Cairon T 5.0 Wave is fitted with a powerful 4th-generation BOSCH ‘Performance CX’ mid-drive motor, which delivers a rated power output of 250 W at a voltage of 36 V. This motor is supported by a BOSCH ‘Powertube 750’ lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 750 Wh, which ensures an extended range. The accompanying BOSCH “Kiox 300” display offers four assistance levels and a push-assist function, making the bike intuitive and user-friendly to operate.

Gear changes are handled by an SRAM “SX Eagle” 12-speed system, which enables precise gear changes. The shifter is an SRAM “SX Eagle Trigger” with a single-click function. Suspension is provided by an RST “Aerial Air TNL” fork with 100 mm of travel, which effectively absorbs bumps on the road.

The braking system consists of TEKTRO “T-390” brakes with matching brake levers and discs, which have a diameter of 203 mm at the front and 180 mm at the rear. These provide reliable and controlled braking performance in a variety of conditions.

The bike is fitted with CONTINENTAL “Contact Cruiser” tyres mounted on MACH1 “MAXX” rims. This combination ensures a stable ride and good grip on various surfaces. The hubs are from FORMULA, with the front hub designated as the “DC 511” and the rear as the “eHL-148 S”.

The SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Moderat Ergo” saddle and the HUMPERT “Ergotec SP10” seatpost provide additional comfort. The handlebars are a LEVEL 9 “Trekking” model with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 660 mm, complemented by CONTEC “MERGE Mountain Comfort” grips.

The Cairon T 5.0 Wave is also equipped with practical features such as CURANA “Apollo 65” mudguards, an ATRAN “Cummute Pro” luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap and an AXA “Bock XXL” lock. An URSUS “Wave” kickstand ensures the bike stands securely when parked.
