Conway Cairon T 450 RBN

The 2021 Conway Cairon T 450 RBN is a versatile e-bike which, at a price of 3,499 euros, represents an attractive option in the mid-range price segment. The bike’s frame is made from a sturdy aluminium frame known as the “CONWAY Intube Wave Bosch”, which supports a maximum load of 130 kg. The brakes are from SHIMANO – specifically the “BR-MT200” model – combined with the matching “BL-MT200” brake levers. The brake discs measure 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear, and are also manufactured by SHIMANO.

Gear changes are handled by the SHIMANO “Nexus” 5-speed system, operated via the “SLC-7000” gear lever. Suspension is provided by the ROCKSHOX “Recon Silver RL” fork with 80 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride even on uneven terrain. In terms of lighting, the bike is fitted with the CONTEC “LED Aurora 100 E+ 40” front light and the AXA “Blueline” LED rear light, which ensure good visibility in road traffic.

The drive is assisted by a third-generation BOSCH mid-drive motor, ‘Performance’ model, with an output of 250 W. The accompanying battery, a BOSCH PT lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 625 Wh, offers sufficient range for longer rides. The system is controlled via the BOSCH “Intuvia” display with 4 levels and a remote control, as well as a push-assist function.

The specification also includes an FSA “CK-745” crankset with a length of 170 mm and a 38-tooth chainring, as well as a SHIMANO 27-tooth chainring. The handlebars are an ERGOTEC “Ladytown” model with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 620 mm, whilst the grips are by HERRMANS. The adjustable stem is also by ERGOTEC, the “Octopus” model.

The front hub is a SHIMANO “HB-MT400” and the rear hub is a SHIMANO “Nexus” 5-speed RBN model. The saddle is a SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Moderat Ergo”, complemented by an ERGOTEC “SP10” seatpost.

Additional features such as SKS plastic mudguards, a HESLING Move chain guard, an URSUS aluminium kickstand and an AXA “Bock XXL” lock round off the specification. The ATRAN “Cummute Pro” luggage rack with spring-loaded flap offers practical transport options.
