Conway Cairon SUV FS 5.7 Wave

Conway’s “Cairon SUV FS 5.7 Wave” model from 2024 is a modern e-bike that performs well both in the city and on uneven terrain. Priced at 4999 EUR, it sits in the upper mid-range and offers a comprehensive range of features. The frame features an aluminium Wave design, which was specially developed to accommodate the fourth-generation Bosch “Performance CX” mid-drive motor. This motor delivers 250 W at 36 V and is powered by a Bosch Powertube 625 battery with a capacity of 625 Wh.

The Cairon SUV FS 5.7 Wave weighs 28 kg and can carry a maximum permissible load of up to 130 kg. Safety is ensured by TEKTRO brakes featuring a 4/2-piston system, fitted with 203 mm brake discs at the front and 180 mm at the rear. Gear changes are handled by a 12-speed SRAM “SX” system, operated via an Eagle Trigger shifter.

Suspension is provided by a ROCKSHOX “Recon Silver RL” fork with 120 mm of travel and a FOX “Float DPS” shock absorber with 100 mm of travel, ensuring comfort on bumpy trails. The lighting comprises a CONTEC “DLUX 80 E+” front light and a CONTEC “CTL 335 E” rear light with a brake light function, ensuring good visibility in road traffic.

The bike is fitted with SCHWALBE “Johnny Watts” tyres mounted on RODI “Ready 30” rims. These tyres offer good grip on both tarmac and light off-road terrain. The SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Athletic Ergo” saddle and the CONWAY “Droper Post” seatpost with a 100 mm adjustment range offer additional comfort.

Additional features such as the ATRAN “Cummute Pro” luggage rack with spring-loaded flap, SKS plastic mudguards and the URSUS “Wave” kickstand round off the package. The bike’s display is the Bosch “Kiox 300”, which is operated via a remote control and offers a pedal-assist function. With a seat tube length of 500 mm, a wheelbase of 1217 mm and a seat tube angle of 73 degrees, the bike is designed to provide a balanced riding position that offers both comfort and control.
