Conway Cairon SUV 5.0 Wave

Conway’s “Cairon SUV 5.0 Wave” model from 2024 is a versatile e-bike which, at a price of 4,199 EUR, represents an attractive option for discerning cyclists. The bike’s frame is made from robust aluminium in a wave design with a frame height of 50 cm, allowing for a comfortable, upright riding position. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 28 kg, which is appropriate for an e-bike in this class.

Equipped with a powerful 4th-generation Bosch mid-drive motor, the Cairon SUV 5.0 Wave delivers 250 watts at 36 volts. Power is supplied by a battery with a capacity of 750 Wh, which offers sufficient range for long rides. The gear system consists of a 12-speed SRAM ‘SX’, which allows for precise and versatile gear selection.

Safety is ensured by the TEKTRO ‘HD-M530’ brakes, which are fitted with different piston configurations at both the front and rear. The bike is fitted with SCHWALBE “Johnny Watts” tyres featuring reflective strips, mounted on RODI “Ready 30” rims. This combination ensures good traction and visibility in road traffic. The hubs are by FORMULA, with the front hub being the “DC 511” model and the rear hub the “eHL-148 S” model.

Comfort is further enhanced by the SELLE ROYAL “Vivo Athletic Ergo” saddle and the CONTEC “MERGE Mountain Comfort” grips. The handlebars are CONWAY “Riser” with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 720 mm, which allows for comfortable handling. The LEVEL 9 “Adjustable” stem offers additional adjustment options for a personalised riding position.

Other practical features include the CURANA “Apollo 75” mudguards, an URSUS “Wave” kickstand and an ATRAN “Cummute Pro” luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap, which equip the bike for everyday use and longer rides.
