Centurion E-Fire City R550

The 2022 E-Fire City R550 from Centurion is a versatile e-bike that is ideal for urban use. Priced at EUR 2,899, it offers a solid range of features and reliable technology. The frame is made of aluminium and is designated the E-Fire City R G2. The maximum permissible weight is 150 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 24 kg. The model is designed for riders between 158 cm and 173 cm in height.

The braking system utilises the tried-and-tested TEKTRO HD-T275 technology with organic brake pads and 180 mm brake discs at both the front and rear. The gear system is provided by SHIMANO Altus with SHIMANO Alivio shifters and offers a total of 9 gears. The SR SUNTOUR NEX-E25 fork, with 63 mm of travel, ensures additional comfort when riding on uneven roads.

For lighting, the E-Fire City R550 is fitted with the TRELOCK LS 230 Bike-i VEO front light and the TRELOCK LS 611 Duo Flat rear light. The pedals are the VPE-891 model, and the crankset is the FSA CK-200 Gen3 with a KMC E9 silver/black drivetrain. The handlebars are PROCRAFT City Comp, 640 mm wide with a 35-degree backsweep, complemented by PROCRAFT Ergo Comp II grips and a PROCRAFT City Pro stem.

The wheels are fitted with PROCRAFT MD23 rims and KENDA Khan II tyres in size 28/26x2.0", whilst the hubs are SHIMANO HB-TX506 and FH-TX506. The saddle is a PROCRAFT City II model, supported by a PROCRAFT Pro seatpost. Additional features include HEBIE mudguards, a PROCRAFT Kick II kickstand and an Abus Shield 5650 lock.

Power is provided by a drive_unit motor in combination with a BOSCH PowerPack 500 Wh battery, which is controlled via the BOSCH Intuvia display. A Bosch standard charger is also included to charge the battery efficiently. A CENTURION Racktime E-Trekking luggage rack is fitted for carrying luggage.

The bike’s geometry features a seat tube length of 430 mm, a top tube length of 589 mm, a head tube angle of 69 degrees, a seat tube angle of 73 degrees, a head tube length of 160 mm and a chainstay length of 465 mm. The wheelbase is 1107 mm, which ensures a stable ride. All in all, the E-Fire City R550 offers a balanced mix of comfort, safety and functionality for everyday use in the city.
