Cannondale Trail Women's 8

The "Trail Women's 8" model from the Cannondale brand from 2024 is a versatile and robust mountain bike that has been specially developed for women. With a price tag of EUR 599, it offers excellent value for money. The frame is made of SmartForm C3 Alloy and is equipped with SAVE technology for added comfort. The frame has a 1-1/8" head tube, a post-mount disc brake and is equipped with StraightShot internal cable routing as well as dropper post compatibility and a BSA-73 bottom bracket shell.

The bike's brakes are Tektro M275 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors, which are operated by Tektro hydraulic brake levers. Shifting is provided by a microSHIFT M36L system, with the shifter also coming from microSHIFT and offering 8-speed shifting. The front derailleur is a microSHIFT Dual Pull Compact with band clamp. The bike has a total of 16 gears, which enable precise adaptation to different types of terrain.

The SR Suntour XCE28 fork with a suspension travel of 100 mm ensures a comfortable ride on uneven terrain. The pedals are Cannondale platform pedals, which ensure a secure grip. The bottom bracket is a sealed cartridge bearing with a square cone, and the crankset is a Prowheel with 36/22 teeth. The sprocket is a Sunrace with 12-32 teeth and the drive is provided by a KMC X8 chain.

The handlebars are made of 6061 Alloy Riser, have a diameter of 31.8 mm, a width of 700 mm and a rise of 25 mm. The grips are Cannondale dual-density grips, which provide additional comfort. The stem is also made of 6061 Alloy, has a diameter of 31.8 mm and an angle of 8°. The headset is semi-integrated and has a size of 1-1/8".

The rims are WTB SX19 with 32 spoke holes, and the tyres are Schwalbe Rocket Rick in size 29x2.25" (27.5x2.25" for sizes XS and SM) with K-Guard protection. The hubs are Shimano HB-TX505 at the front and Shimano FH-TX505 at the rear, both equipped with quick-releases. The spokes are made of stainless steel and have a thickness of 14g.

The saddle is a Cannondale Stage 2 Women's saddle, which is specially designed for women's ergonomics. The seatpost is made of Cannondale 3, 6061 Alloy and has dimensions of 31.6x350 mm for sizes XS and SM and 400 mm for sizes MD and LG.
