Cannondale Trail Women's 5

The 2024 Cannondale Trail Women’s 5 is a versatile mountain bike designed specifically for women and available at a price of 899 EUR. At the heart of the bike is the SmartForm C3 aluminium frame, which features SAVE technology. This frame features a 1-1/8" head tube, a post-mount disc brake mount and StraightShot internal cable routing. It is also compatible with a dropper seatpost and features a BSA-73 bottom bracket shell.

Braking performance is provided by Tektro M275 hydraulic disc brakes, with 160 mm rotors at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also from Tektro and provide precise and reliable braking power. The drivetrain consists of the Shimano Deore M4100 groupset, which offers 10-speed shifting. The shift lever and front derailleur are also part of this groupset. The Shimano M4100 crankset features a 36/26-tooth chainring, whilst the Sunrace cassette has a 11–42-tooth range. Power is transmitted via a KMC X10 chain.

Comfort and control are provided by the SR Suntour XCR32 RL suspension fork, which offers 100 mm of travel and a remote lockout. The fork has an offset of 42 mm for 27.5" wheels and 46 mm for 29" wheels. The pedals are Cannondale platform models, and the bottom bracket is a sealed cartridge bearing with a square taper axle.

The cockpit consists of a Cannondale riser handlebar made from 6061 aluminium, with a width of 720 mm, a rise of 25 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The grips are Cannondale Dual-Density models, whilst the stem is also made from 6061 aluminium with a 7-degree angle.

The wheelsets consist of WTB SX19 rims with 32 stainless steel spokes. The tyres are Schwalbe Rocket Rick models in size 29x2.25" (or 27.5x2.25" for sizes XS and SM) and feature K-Guard puncture protection. The hubs are from Shimano: the HB-TX505 at the front and the FH-TX505 at the rear.

The saddle is a Cannondale Stage 2 Women’s model, fitted to a Cannondale 3 seatpost made from 6061 aluminium, which is available in sizes 31.6x350 mm (XS–SM) and 400 mm (MD–LG).

The bike has a total weight of 41 kg and features the following geometry: reach of 425 mm, stack of 623 mm, seat tube length of 432 mm, top tube length of 609 mm, head tube angle of 68 degrees, seat tube angle of 74 degrees, head tube length of 105 mm, chainstay length of 445 mm, fork offset of 46 mm, top tube height of 768 mm and a wheelbase of 1140 mm.
