Cannondale Trail SE 3

The "Trail SE 3" model from Cannondale from 2024 is a versatile mountain bike that is available for a price of EUR 1299. The frame is made of Smartform C2 Alloy and features SAVE dropped seatstays, a tapered head tube, post-mount brake mounts and StraightShot internal cable routing. It is also equipped with a BSA 73 bottom bracket shell and dropper post compatibility.

Braking power is provided by Tektro hydraulic disc brakes (M275) with 180 mm and 160 mm brake discs. The brake levers are also from Tektro and are hydraulic. Shifting is provided by Shimano Deore M5100 components, including an 11-speed shifter and an 11-speed cassette (11-51 teeth). The drivetrain is complemented by a KMC X11 chain.

The RockShox Judy Silver TK fork with Solo Air technology offers a travel of 120 mm and uses a 15x110 mm thru-axle and a 51 mm offset. The pedals are Cannondale Platform models. The bottom bracket is a sealed cartridge bearing with a square axle profile, while the crankset is an FSA Alpha Drive with 30 teeth.

The handlebar is an FSA Alloy Riser with a width of 760 mm and a rise of 15 mm, combined with Cannondale Locking Grips. The stem is made of 6061 aluminium, measures 31.8 mm in diameter and has an angle of 7 degrees. The headset is an integrated, sealed bearing with a conical design.

The wheels consist of WTB STX i25 TCS rims, which are tubeless ready and fitted with stainless steel spokes (14g). The tyres are WTB Breakout (29 x 2.3") at the front and WTB Trail Boss (29 x 2.25") at the rear. The hubs are Shimano MT400 models, with a 15x110 mm thru axle at the front and a 12x148 mm thru axle at the rear.

The saddle is a Cannondale Ergo XC model, mounted on a TranzX dropper seatpost with internal routing and an adjustment range of 120 mm for sizes M-XL (100 mm for size S). Overall, the Cannondale Trail SE 3 offers well-balanced equipment that is suitable for both beginners and experienced mountain bikers.
