Cannondale Trail Neo 4

The Cannondale Trail Neo 4 from 2024 is a high-quality e-mountainbike designed for a wide range of riders and applications. With a price tag of EUR 3099, it offers a wide range of technical features and solid equipment that will appeal to both beginners and experienced riders.

The frame of the Trail Neo 4 is made of SmartForm C2 Alloy and has a removable down tube battery. Thanks to SAVE technology, the tapered head tube and internal cable routing, the frame not only offers stability but also a tidy look. The 148x12mm thru-axle and the post-mount disc brake mount contribute to the high rigidity and reliability of the frame.

Braking performance is provided by hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano (MT200) with 180mm RT10 brake discs at the front and rear. These provide reliable and controlled braking power in a variety of conditions. The gear system consists of a 9-speed Shimano Alivio groupset, which is known for its precise and fast gear changes. The gear lever is also a Shimano Alivio to match the gears.

The SR Suntour XCM fork with 100mm travel ensures comfort and control on uneven roads. The FSA Bosch e-bike crankset with 34 teeth and the Shimano HG200 cassette (11-36, 9-speed) form the bike's drivetrain.

The cockpit of the Trail Neo 4 consists of a Cannondale 3 Riser handlebar made of 6061 aluminium with a width of 780mm, a rise of 15mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The grips are Fabric Funguy, which provide additional comfort. The stem is also a Cannondale 3 model made from 6061 aluminium.

The wheels consist of WTB STX i25 TCS rims, which are tubeless ready, and Maxxis Ardent tyres (29x2.40 Wire 60TPI Exo). The hubs are from Shimano (HB M4050 front and MT400 rear) and are fitted with DT Swiss Champion spokes.

The saddle is a Cannondale Ergo XC, mounted on a Cannondale 4 seatpost made of 6061 aluminium with the dimensions 31.6x350mm.

The electric drive is provided by a Bosch Performance Line Cruise motor in combination with a Bosch PowerTube battery with a capacity of 500Wh. The display is a Bosch Purion, which clearly displays all the important information. The charger is a Bosch 2A model.

With a total weight of around 17 kg, the Trail Neo 4 is a well-equipped e-mountainbike that is impressive both on trails and on longer tours.
