Cannondale Trail Neo 1

The Cannondale Trail Neo 1 from 2024 is a versatile e-mountain bike designed for demanding trails and extended tours. The frame of the Trail Neo 1 is made of SmartForm C1 aluminium and is equipped with a removable 750Wh downtube battery, which also offers a dual-battery option. The frame also has an integrated front light and a tapered head tube.

The Tektro M807 hydraulic disc brakes with four pistons and large 203 mm TRP rotors on the front and rear wheels ensure reliable braking performance. Shifting is ensured by Shimano Deore M6100 components, which are equipped with a 12-speed system and a 10-51 sprocket.

The RockShox 35 Silver fork with 100 mm suspension travel and a 15x110 mm thru axle ensures responsive suspension on uneven terrain. The bike's cockpit consists of a Cannondale 2 Riser handlebar with a width of 780 mm, a rise of 25 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The stem is also from Cannondale and has a length of 35 mm.

The wheels consist of WTB STX i30 rims, which are tubeless ready, and Maxxis Rekon tyres, which are available in the sizes 29x2.6" for the sizes M, L and XL and 27.5x2.6" for the size S. The hubs are Shimano MT400 at the front and Shimano MT510 at the rear, both with thru axles.

The drive of the Trail Neo 1 is provided by the Bosch Performance Line CX motor with an output of 250W, while the Bosch PowerTube battery with a capacity of 750Wh ensures a long-lasting energy supply. The Bosch Kiox 300 display with LED remote provides all the necessary information at a glance. The charger is a Bosch 4A model.

Other features of the bike include a Fizik Freeway Fit saddle, a Cannondale 4 seat post made of 6061 aluminium with 31.6x350 mm dimensions and DT Swiss Champion 2.0 spokes. The total weight of the bike is around 65 kg.

The geometry of the frame is optimised for a comfortable yet sporty riding style. The reach is 450 mm, the stack 634 mm, the seat tube length 470 mm and the top tube length 632 mm. The head tube angle is 67 degrees, the seat tube angle is 74 degrees, the head tube length is 130 mm and the chainstay length is 470 mm. The fork pre-bend is 51 mm and the standover height is 757 mm, while the wheelbase measures a total of 1213 mm.

The Cannondale Trail Neo 1 is available at a price of 4699 EUR and offers a balanced combination of high-performance components and well thought-out geometry, making it an ideal companion for demanding mountain bike adventures.
