Cannondale Tesoro Neo X 1 StepThru

The "Tesoro Neo X 1 StepThru" model from Cannondale from 2024 offers a wide range of state-of-the-art technical features and equipment that make it an attractive e-bike for a wide range of applications. With a price tag of EUR 4999, it is aimed at discerning users who value quality and performance.

The frame of the Tesoro Neo X 1 StepThru is made of SmartForm C1 Alloy and has a step-thru design, which makes it easy to get on and off. The frame integrates a removable 750Wh downtube battery and has an integrated front light as well as a tapered head tube and internal cable routing, which not only improves the look but also makes maintenance easier.

Braking power is provided by Magura MT C 2-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm MDR-C rotors at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also from Magura and offer reliable and precise braking power. The shifting is realised by a Shimano Deore LinkGlide Shadow RD+ system, which is combined with a 10-speed Shimano Deore LinkGlide shift lever. This enables smooth and efficient gear changes.

Suspension is provided by an SR Suntour XCR34 fork with 100 mm travel, which ensures additional comfort on uneven terrain. The suspension travel is 100 mm and the fork is equipped with Boost spacers. An Axa Blueline 30 front light and an Axa Blueline rear light are fitted for optimum visibility in road traffic.

The e-bike is equipped with Cannondale Fitness pedals and has a Bosch Gen4 crankset with 38 teeth. The crankset is a Shimano Deore LinkGlide with a gradation of 11-43 teeth in the 10-speed range. The handlebar is a Cannondale Trekking model, complemented by Cannondale Ergo Fitness Dual Density grips with lock-on function. The stem is the Cannondale Urban Intellimount, which has internal cable routing and is compatible with SP-Connect mobile phone mounts.

The wheels consist of WTB STX i30 TCS rims, which are tubeless-ready and fitted with Maxxis Pace tyres in the sizes 29 x 2.1" (for sizes M and L) and 27.5 x 2.1" (for size S). The hubs are Shimano MT400 at the front with a 15x110mm Thru-Axle and Shimano R600 at the rear with 32H and quick release (QR). The spokes are made of stainless steel and have a thickness of 14g.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Lookin model, mounted on a parallelogram suspension post, which is available in lengths of 300mm (SM), 350mm (MD) and 400mm (LG). Curana Apollo mudguards provide protection from splash water, while the kickstand ensures stability. An Abus 4650X frame lock, which is keyed to the battery lock, offers additional security. The Cannondale Urban pannier rack is Racktime-compatible and can carry up to 25kg.

The Tesoro Neo X 1 StepThru is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX motor with an output of 250W, fed by a Bosch PowerTube battery with a capacity of 750Wh. The display is a Bosch Kiox 300 with LED remote control, which enables intuitive control and monitoring of the riding data. The Bosch charger has an output of 4A.

The total weight of the e-bike is around 68,000 grams, making it a robust yet handy companion for a wide variety of journeys.
