Cannondale Tesoro Neo SL EQ

The 2024 "Tesoro Neo SL EQ" model from Cannondale is priced at 2,599 EUR and impresses with a wide range of technical features and high-quality components. The frame is made from SmartForm C3 Alloy, features an internal battery mount and incorporates SAVE technology, which provides additional comfort. The frame is also fitted with a tapered head tube, Straightshot cable routing, flat-mount disc brakes and mounts for a luggage rack and mudguards.

Braking performance is provided by Tektro (M275) hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm rotors at both the front and rear. The brake levers are also from Tektro and offer precise and reliable braking control. The drivetrain consists of a microSHIFT Advent X 10-speed system, operated via a microSHIFT Advent X shifter. This enables smooth and efficient gear changes.

The Tesoro Neo SL EQ’s fork is made entirely of carbon and features a 12x100 mm thru-axle, a tapered head tube (1-1/4" to 1-1/8"), flat-mount disc brakes, as well as mounts for mudguards and 360° reflectivity for improved visibility. The lighting comprises Herrmans front and rear lights, which ensure additional safety on the road.

The bottom bracket is a cartridge model with a square taper, whilst the Prowheel crankset is fitted with a 38T chainring. The microSHIFT cassette has a range of 11–48 teeth, offering a wide range of gears. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC E10T chain.

The handlebars are made from Cannondale Riser 6061 alloy, with a width of 680 mm, a rise of 18 mm, a backsweep of 8 degrees and an upsweep of 4 degrees. The grips are ergonomically shaped Cannondale Fitness Ergo Double Density grips. The stem is a Cannondale 3 with Intellimount, also made of aluminium, with a diameter of 31.8 mm and an angle of 6 degrees. The headset is an FSA Sealed Bearing, integrated and tapered (1-1/4" to 1-1/8").

The rims are by Shining with 32 holes, whilst the tyres are Vittoria Terreno Zero in size 700 x 35c. The front hub is an aluminium hub with a 15x100 mm thru-axle, whilst the rear hub is a Mahle x35 hub. The spokes are made of stainless steel (14g at the front, 13g at the rear).

The saddle is a Cannondale Fitness Ergo Double Density model and the seatpost is made from a 6061 aluminium alloy, measuring 31.6 x 350 mm. The bike is also fitted with mudguards and a rear luggage rack.

Power is provided by a Mahle X35 250W rear hub motor, which is powered by a Mahle X35 250Wh internal downtube battery. The display is a Mahle iWOC ONE integrated controller, which can also be controlled via a smartphone app using the Intellimount stem. The charger is a Mahle X35 with an output of 2A.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 422 mm, a stack of 625 mm, a seat tube length of 550 mm and a top tube length of 613 mm. The head tube angle is 71 degrees, the seat tube angle 73 degrees, the head tube length 208 mm, the chainstay length is 465 mm, the fork offset is 55 mm, the top tube height is 823 mm and the wheelbase is 1132 mm in total. The bike’s gross weight is approximately 24 kg.
