Cannondale Scalpel HT Hi-MOD 1

The "Scalpel HT Hi-MOD 1" model from Cannondale from 2024 is a state-of-the-art mountain bike in the upper price range with a price tag of EUR 5999. The frame of the bike is made of Scalpel HT Hi-MOD carbon and is equipped with the Proportional Response Design. It has a PF30-83 bottom bracket shell, a tapered head tube, a 55mm chainline and a Speed Release 12mm thru axle with UDH mount.

For the brakes, Cannondale relies on hydraulic disc brakes from Shimano XT, which are equipped with 180mm and 160mm XT rotors. The brake levers are also from Shimano XT and offer reliable braking performance. The drivetrain consists of a Shimano XTR component, while the shift lever is from Shimano XT and offers 12 gears. The fork is a Lefty Ocho 120 Carbon with a travel of 110mm and a chamber damper with remote lockout, OppO Spring System as well as a tapered steerer tube and an offset of 50mm.

The bottom bracket is a Cannondale Alloy PressFit30, while the crankset consists of a HollowGram BB30 83MTB with OPI SpideRing and 34 teeth as well as a 55mm chainline. The crankset is a Shimano XT with a gradation of 10-51 teeth and also 12 gears. The handlebar is a Cannondale 1 Flat made of carbon with a diameter of 31.8mm, a backsweep of 9 degrees and a width of 760mm. The grips are made from Cannondale XC silicone.

The stem is made of Cannondale 1, 7075 aluminium, has a diameter of 31.8mm and an angle of 7 degrees. The headset is integrated and has sealed angular contact ball bearings. The rims are HollowGram 25 Superlight Hi-Impact Carbon with 28 spoke holes, an inner width of 25mm and tubeless ready. The tyres are Schwalbe Racing Ray EVO at the front and Schwalbe Racing Ralph EVO at the rear, both in size 29x2.25", SnakeSkin, Addix Speedgrip (front) and Addix Speed (rear), also tubeless ready.

The hubs are a HollowGram Lefty 60 at the front and a HollowGram with DT Swiss Star Ratchet Internals at the rear, each with an installation width of 12x148mm. The spokes are DT Swiss Competition Race, straight-pull. The saddle is a Prologo Dimension NDR with Tirox rails, while the seatpost is a Cannondale C1 Carbon measuring 27.2x400mm.

The bike has a gross weight of approx. 40000 grams. The geometry of the frame includes a reach of 444mm, a stack of 629mm, a seat tube length of 480mm, a top tube length of 617mm, a head tube angle of 67 degrees, a seat tube angle of 75 degrees, a head tube length of 122mm, a chainstay length of 440mm, a fork rake of 50mm, a standover height of 819mm and a wheelbase of 1181mm.
