Cannondale Moterra Neo EQ

Cannondale’s 2024 “Moterra Neo EQ” model is a versatile and robust e-mountain bike designed for challenging off-road adventures. Priced at 6,199 EUR, this bike offers an impressive combination of advanced technology and high-quality components.

The Moterra Neo EQ’s frame is made from SmartForm C1 Alloy and features 130 mm of suspension travel. The Proportional Response Tuned Suspension ensures optimum riding comfort and control. The frame is also fitted with a removable down tube battery and an injection-moulded skid plate, which provides additional protection off-road.

The braking system utilises Shimano MT420 4-piston hydraulic brakes with 203 mm RT66/64 disc brakes at the front and rear, ensuring reliable stopping power. The brake levers are Shimano MT400. The drivetrain utilises the Shimano XT system, which is combined with a Shimano Deore M6100 12-speed shifter to ensure precise and smooth gear changes.

The RockShox 35 Silver R fork, with 150 mm of travel, and the RockShox Deluxe Select shock absorber, featuring DebonAir technology and 130 mm of travel, offer excellent suspension performance and control on rough terrain. Other features include an FSA Bosch e-bike crank arm, 160 mm in length, with a 34T chainring, a Shimano Deore M6100 cassette (10-51, 12-speed) and a Cannondale 3 aluminium riser handlebar with a width of 780 mm, a rise of 25 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The grips are Fabric FunGuy, and the 6061 aluminium stem is 35 mm long with a 0-degree angle.

The bike rides on WTB ST i30 TCS rims, which are tubeless-ready, and Continental eRuban tyres in size 29x2.3". The front hub is a Formula (15x110 mm) and the rear hub is a Shimano MT410 (12x148 mm). The stainless steel spokes have a gauge of 14 g.

The saddle is a Fabric Scoop Shallow Sport with steel struts, mounted on a Cannondale DownLow dropper seatpost with internal routing and a 150 mm adjustment range (or Cannondale 3, 6061 Alloy, 31.6x350 mm in size Small). The bike is also fitted with full-length aluminium mudguards, a kickstand and a removable Moterra luggage rack (maximum load capacity 15 kg).

With a total weight of 71 kg and a geometry that includes, amongst other things, a reach of 449 mm, a stack of 637 mm, a seat tube length of 430 mm, a top tube length of 608 mm, a head tube angle of 66 degrees and a seat tube angle of 76 degrees, the Moterra Neo EQ offers a balanced riding experience and high stability. The chainstay length is 455 mm, the fork offset is 44 mm, the standover height is 754 mm and the wheelbase measures 1221 mm in total.
