Cannondale Moterra Neo 5

The "Moterra Neo 5" model from the Cannondale brand from 2024 is a versatile and powerful e-mountain bike designed for demanding trails and long rides. The price for this model is EUR 4199.

The frame of the Moterra Neo 5 is made of SmartForm C2 aluminium and offers 150 mm of suspension travel. It is equipped with Cannondale Tuned suspension and features a removable downtube battery and internal cable routing for a clean look and easy maintenance. The fork is an SR Suntour XCR LO Boost 29 with 140 mm travel, 15 mm Thru-Axle and a tapered aluminium head tube, while the rear shock is an X-Fusion 02 Pro RL with rebound and lockout function.

The braking system consists of Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm RT10 rotors both front and rear, providing reliable stopping power. Shifting is provided by Shimano Deore M6000 components which, in combination with the Shimano Deore M4100 shift lever, enable precise and smooth gear changes. The bike has a total of 10 gears, which are covered by a Shimano HG500 sprocket with a gear ratio of 11-42.

The drive is provided by a Shimano STEPS DU-E7000 motor with 250W power, which in combination with the Shimano STEPS BT-E8035 battery with a capacity of 504 Wh provides powerful support. The system is controlled via the Shimano SC-E7000 display, which is Bluetooth-enabled and offers a user-friendly interface.

The cockpit of the Moterra Neo 5 includes a Cannondale 3 Riser handlebar made of 6061 aluminium with a width of 780 mm, a rise of 15 mm, a backsweep of 8 degrees and an upsweep of 4 degrees. The stem is made of 3D forged 6061 aluminium with a 7 degree angle. The grips are Cannondale Locking Grips, which provide additional comfort and control.

The wheels consist of WTB STX i25 TCS rims, which are tubeless-ready and fitted with 29 x 2.3" WTB Breakout tyres. The hubs are Shimano MT400 models with Thru-Axle (15x110 mm front and 12x148 mm rear), which ensure stability and durability.

The saddle is a Cannondale Ergo XC, which is mounted on a TranzX dropper seatpost. Depending on the frame size, the seatpost has an adjustment range of 100 mm (S), 120 mm (M) or 130 mm (L-XL) and is internally routed.
