Cannondale Mavaro Neo 2

The 2024 "Mavaro Neo 2" model from the Cannondale brand is a high-quality e-bike designed for discerning riders. With a price tag of EUR 4999, the Mavaro Neo 2 offers a wide range of technical and comfortable features that make it an excellent choice for urban mobility and leisure rides.

The frame of the Mavaro Neo 2 is made of SmartForm C1 Alloy and is equipped with a removable 750Wh downtube battery. The design of the frame integrates a front light and features a tapered head tube and internal cable routing for a tidy appearance. The brakes are Tektro M535 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm rotors front and rear for excellent braking performance. Shifting is via a Shimano Nexus 5-speed gear hub, controlled by a Shimano Nexus Revoshift rotary shifter.

Suspension is provided by a Cannondale HeadShok fork with 50 mm travel, featuring Quad Cage needle bearing internals, a coil spring and a semi-open oil damping chamber. This combination provides a smooth and controlled ride even on uneven roads. The lighting consists of an integrated Axa Blueline 30 front light and an Axa Blueline rear light, which ensure good visibility when riding at night.

The drive system comprises a Gates CDX high-performance carbon belt drive with a Gates Bosch e-bike crankset and a 46-tooth chainring. The sprocket has 34 teeth. The handlebar is a Cannondale Urban Backsweep, complemented by Cannondale Ergo Fitness Dual Density grips for added comfort. The stem is the Cannondale Urban Intellimount, which is adjustable and offers internal cable routing and an SP Connect compatible mobile phone holder.

The wheels consist of WTB STX i30 TCS rims, which are tubeless-ready, and are fitted with Continental Contact Cruiser tyres in sizes 29 x 2.2" (for sizes M, L, XL) or Urban Contact 27.5 x 2.2" (for size S). The hubs are Shimano MT400 with a 15x110 mm thru axle at the front and a Nexus 5-speed gear hub at the rear. The saddle is a Selle Royal Essenza, mounted on a Cannondale 4 seatpost made of 6061 aluminium.

Additional features include full mudguards, a kickstand, an Abus frame lock (key-synchronised with the battery compartment), a Cannondale Urban pannier rack with a load capacity of up to 25 kg and Racktime compatibility. At the heart of the drive system is the Bosch Performance Line CX 250W motor, combined with a Bosch PowerTube 750Wh battery and a Bosch Kiox 300 display with LED remote control. A Bosch 4A charger is also part of the equipment.
