Cannondale Habit LT 2

The 2024 Cannondale Habit LT 2 is a versatile and powerful mountain bike designed for demanding trails and adventurous rides. With a price tag of EUR 3699, it offers excellent value for money.

The frame of the Habit LT 2 is made of Habit SmartForm C1 Alloy and offers 140 mm travel. The Proportional Response Suspension and geometry ensure optimised riding characteristics, while the 55 mm chainline, ISCG05 mount and BSA-threaded bottom bracket provide a robust and reliable base. The braking system consists of Shimano SLX 4-piston disc brakes with 203/180 mm RT64 rotors which, in combination with the Shimano SLX hydraulic brake levers, ensure precise and powerful braking performance.

Shifting is covered by Shimano XT and Shimano SLX 12-speed shifters, allowing for smooth and precise gear changes. The bike is equipped with a RockShox Lyrik fork, which offers 150 mm of travel and features DebonAir technology and a 15x110 mm Thru-Axle. The RockShox Super Deluxe Select shock with DebonAir and adjustable rebound provides additional comfort and control on different types of terrain.

The Habit LT 2 is supplied without pedals, giving the rider the option of fitting their favourite pedals. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BSA 73, while the crankset consists of a Shimano FC-6120 with a 30T chainring and a 55 mm chainline. The cassette is a Shimano Deore with a gear ratio of 10-51 teeth, which allows for a wide range of gears.

The handlebar is a Cannondale 3 Riser made of 6061 aluminium with a width of 780 mm, a rise of 15 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The grips are Cannondale TrailShroom, which provide good grip and comfort. The stem is also made of Cannondale 3 6061 aluminium with a diameter of 31.8 mm and an angle of 0 degrees. The headset is an integrated, sealed bearing headset with a conical design.

The wheels consist of WTB ST i30 TCS rims, which are tubeless-ready and fitted with Maxxis Minion DHF tyres in size 29x2.5" (27.5x2.5" for XS frames) at the front and Maxxis Dissector tyres in the same size at the rear. The hubs are Shimano MT400 at the front and Shimano MT510 at the rear, both with Thru-Axle axles for increased stability. The spokes are DT Swiss Champion.

The saddle is a Cannondale Scoop Shallow Sport with steel stays, while the seatpost is a Cannondale DownLow dropper with internal cable routing and an adjustment range of up to 170 mm (depending on the frame size).

The geometry of the frame offers a reach of 475 mm, a stack of 644 mm, a seat tube length of 445 mm and a top tube length of 617 mm. The head tube angle is 65 degrees, the seat tube angle is 77 degrees, the head tube length is 130 mm and the chainstay length is 445 mm. The fork pre-bend is 44 mm, the standover height is 757 mm and the wheelbase is 1243 mm.
