Cannondale Habit Carbon 1

The "Habit Carbon 1" model from Cannondale from 2024 is a high-quality mountain bike designed for demanding trails and versatile off-road conditions. With a price tag of EUR 5499, it offers a wide range of technical features and well thought-out equipment.

The frame of the Habit Carbon 1 is made of full carbon fibre and has a suspension travel of 130 mm. The Proportional Response Suspension and geometry ensure optimum adaptation to the riding conditions. The frame is also equipped with a 55 mm chainline, an ISCG05 mount, a BSA threaded bottom bracket and a post-mount brake mount.

Braking power is provided by SRAM G2 R hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm HS2 centre lock rotors at both the front and rear. The gearing consists of the SRAM GX Eagle Lunar system with 12 gears, operated by the SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed shifter. This enables precise and reliable gear changes.

The RockShox Pike Select+ fork with 140 mm travel and DebonAir technology and the RockShox Deluxe Select+ shock with 130 mm travel and adjustable rebound contribute to outstanding suspension performance. Both components are designed for demanding riding conditions.

The Habit Carbon 1 is equipped with a SRAM DUB BSA MTB73 Wide bottom bracket and a SRAM GX Eagle crankset with 30 teeth. The crankset is a SRAM Eagle XG-1275 with a gradation of 10-52, which enables a wide range of gear ratios.

The handlebar is a HollowGram SAVE riser bar made of carbon with a width of 780 mm, a rise of 30 mm and a backsweep of 8 degrees. The grips are Cannondale TrailShroom, and the stem is made of Cannondale 1, 7075 Alloy with a length of 35 mm and an angle of 0 degrees. The integrated, sealed headset ensures precise steering.

The wheels consist of Stan's NoTubes Arch MK4 rims with 28 spokes, which are tubeless-ready. The tyres are Maxxis Dissector at the front and Maxis Rekon at the rear, both in size 29x2.4" (27.5x2.4" for XS) and also tubeless-ready. The hubs are from Formula at the front and DT Swiss at the rear, both with Thru-Axle.

The saddle is a Cannondale Scoop Shallow Elite with Cro-Mo rails, mounted on a Cannondale DownLow Dropper seatpost with internal routing and an adjustment range of 150 mm (125 mm for XS-S). The total weight of the bike is approx. 13.2 kg.

The geometry of the Habit Carbon 1 is designed for agility and stability, with a reach of 480 mm, a stack of 641 mm, a seat tube length of 445 mm and a top tube length of 617 mm. The head tube angle is 66 degrees, the seat tube angle is 78 degrees, the head tube length is 130 mm, the chainstay length is 440 mm, the fork rake is 44 mm, the standover height is 751 mm and the wheelbase is 1237 mm.
