Cannondale 29 M Habit Waves

The 2021 "29 M Habit Waves" model from Cannondale is a versatile and high-performance mountain bike designed for challenging trails and technical descents. The frame is made from SmartForm C1 aluminium and offers 130 mm of suspension travel. Thanks to Proportional Response Tuned technology and the Ai Offset drivetrain system, optimum riding dynamics and efficiency are guaranteed. The frame is also fitted with ISCG05 mounts, a BSA 83 bottom bracket and a post-mount brake, and features a tapered head tube.

The bike is fitted with a RockShox Yari RC suspension fork, which offers 140 mm of travel and a 15x110 mm thru-axle. The rear shock is a RockShox Deluxe Select with DebonAir technology and adjustable rebound, which also offers 130 mm of travel. The brakes consist of SRAM G2 R hydraulic disc brakes with 200 mm rotors at the front and 180 mm rotors at the rear, ensuring reliable braking performance.

The drivetrain of the “29 M Habit Waves” is dominated by SRAM SX Eagle components, including a 12-speed rear derailleur and a 12-speed shifter. The crankset is a SRAM X1-1000 Eagle DUB with a 30-tooth chainring and Ai Offset. The cassette is also from SRAM SX Eagle and offers a gear range of 11–50 teeth.

The bike’s cockpit comprises a Cannondale 3 Riser handlebar made from 6061 aluminium with a 15 mm rise, 8° sweep and a width of 780 mm. The grips are by Fabric FunGuy. The stem is also by Cannondale and is made from 6061 aluminium with a diameter of 31.8 mm and an angle of 0°. The headset is an integrated, sealed bearing headset with a tapered design.

The wheelsets consist of WTB ST i29 TCS rims with 32 spokes, which are tubeless-ready. The front hub is a Shimano MT400 with a 15x110 mm thru-axle, whilst the rear hub is also a Shimano MT400 with a 12x148 mm thru-axle. The tyres are Maxxis Minion models: a DHF in size 29 x 2.5" at the front and a DHR II in size 29 x 2.4" at the rear, both with EXO casings and tubeless-ready.

The saddle is a Fabric Magic Saddle with steel rails, and the seatpost is a Cannondale DownLow Dropper with internal cable routing and a diameter of 31.6 mm. The dropper post offers an adjustment range of 125 mm for size S and 150 mm for sizes M to XL.
