Cannondale 27.5 F Trail 6

The "27.5 F Trail 6" model from Cannondale, released in 2021, offers a balanced combination of performance and value, and is available for €899. The frame is made from SmartForm C3 Alloy and features SAVE technology, which provides improved shock absorption. The frame has a 1-1/8" head tube, post-mount disc brakes and StraightShot internal cable routing. It is also designed for use with a dropper seatpost and a BSA-73 bottom bracket.

The bike is fitted with Tektro M275 hydraulic disc brakes, which, with 160 mm rotors, ensure reliable braking performance. The brake levers are also from Tektro and offer precise control. The Shimano Alivio Shadow SGS system is used for gear shifting, combined with a 9-speed Shimano Alivio shifter. The front derailleur is a Shimano Altus with a 34.9 mm clamp, enabling a total of 18 gears.

The SR Suntour XCM-RL fork offers 100 mm of travel and features a lockout function as well as coil suspension. The fork has an offset of 42 mm on the 27.5-inch version and 46 mm on the 29-inch version. The pedals are Cannondale platform models, whilst the bottom bracket is a sealed bearing with a square taper spindle.

The crankset consists of Shimano MT210 components with 36/22 teeth, and the cassette is a Shimano HG200 with a 11–36-tooth range for the 9-speed drivetrain, which is driven by a KMC X9 chain. The handlebars are Cannondale risers made from 6061 aluminium with a 25 mm rise, 8° sweep and 6° rise, and a width of 720 mm. The grips are Cannondale dual-density models for added comfort.

The stem is also made from 6061 aluminium and has a 31.8 mm clamp diameter and a 7° angle. The semi-integrated headset ensures stable steering. The WTB SX19 rims have 32 spokes and are fitted with Schwalbe Rocket Rick tyres in size 29x2.25" (or 27.5x2.25" for sizes XS and SM), which feature K-Guard technology.

The hubs are from Shimano: the HB-TX505 model with a quick-release at the front and the FH-TX505 model, also with a quick-release, at the rear. The spokes are made of stainless steel and have a gauge of 14g. The saddle is a Cannondale Stage 2 Women’s model, mounted on a Cannondale 3 seatpost made from 6061 aluminium, which has a length of 350 mm in sizes XS–SM and, in sizes MD – LG.
