Bulls Sonic EVA TR1 29

The "Sonic EVA TR1 29" model from Bulls, released in 2023, is a high-quality e-mountain bike designed for discerning riders. Priced at 4,799 EUR, it offers a wide range of technical features and robust specifications.

The frame of the Sonic EVA TR1 29 is made from 6061 aluminium, which has been hydroformed. This not only gives the frame stability but also keeps its weight low. The frame is also prepared for a 1.8 steerer tube and features internal cable routing as well as a thru-axle mount.

Braking performance is provided by TRP Slate Evo brakes combined with a 203 mm front brake disc (TR203-45 CL), which enable reliable and powerful braking. The drivetrain consists of a SHIMANO Deore RD-M5120 shadow+ groupset, operated by a SHIMANO Deore SL-M4100 shifter with I-Spec EV, offering a total of 10 gears.

Front suspension is provided by a BULLS Lytro 34 Air LOR fork with 120 mm of travel, whilst the SR SUNTOUR Edge Plus R shock absorber also offers 120 mm of travel, ensuring a comfortable ride.

The Sonic EVA TR1 29’s lighting system is MonkeyLink Connect-compatible, although the front light is not included. The rear light, however, is the MonkeyLink Twinlight. The ZECURE MTB pedals offer a secure grip, whilst the BULLS crankset and the SHIMANO Deore 10-speed cassette (11-46T) ensure efficient power transfer.

The handlebars are a Sport-SL CCS model, fitted with comfortable sport grips. The stem is the MTBi-Sport, CCS Slot Mount ready, and the headset is an acros AZX-262 310.52.570R1. The RODI Tryp 30 rims are tubeless-ready and fitted with SCHWALBE Smart Sam K-Guard 57-622 tyres, ensuring excellent traction and puncture resistance.

The front hub is a SHIMANO HB-MT400-B Centre Lock and the rear hub is a SHIMANO FH-MT400-B Centre Lock. The saddle is a Prologo Proxim 400 Wide, mounted on a LIMOTEC Alpha 1 seatpost, which is adjustable depending on frame size (S: 100 mm, M: 125 mm, L/XL: 150 mm).

At the heart of the drive system is the Bosch Performance Line CX motor (Smart System) with a top speed of 25 km/h and a torque of 85 Nm. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube (Smart System) with a capacity of 625 Wh and is charged using a Bosch standard charger (4A). The display can be paired with a Mini Remote, Kiox 300, SmartphoneGrip, Intuvia 100 or a smartphone.
